Dec 1, 2022·editedBRAVEOh my goodness No Way Home is better than I thought. The internet is a bunch of a******s for throwing it in the “great first theater experience but mid looking back” bin. Some character decision making logic flaws in the first act for sure, but there’s some real peak MCU in there that I didn’t even realize was peak MCU until last night. I could write an entire thesis on that s*** tbh
- best ending in an MCU film
- best character arc and development in a single MCU film
- completes arguably the best character arc throughout the entire MCU (arguably but only because it’s rivaled by Tony Stark…and Tony Stark only)
- greatest payoff moment in MCU history (yes better than Endgame’s goat payoff moments)
- some of the most touching and meaningful character and thematic work in an MCU film
I stand by it not being the best Spider-Man film but I WASNT NICE ENOUGH TO IT it’s also an insult to great writing and character work to say any film other than it is the best Phase 4 film
This is all ON TOP OF having
- (mostly) great dialogue and humor
- every major performance knocks it out the f***ing park
- an amazing antagonist and arguably the greatest in the MCU
- multiple satisfying moments that pull off being fan service while also being incredibly meaningful and having thematic weight, adding to previous films
- a hero actually making a big heroic gesture, one that weaves an entire trilogy + three major appearances worth of character development together and serves as a great conclusion
Like what other Phase 4 movie is touching this? LMAO It’s actually funny when you break the other films down in comparison
and BTW as I said before, let’s consider the MAJOR PROBLEMS of stupid character decision logic when it comes to kicking the plot off

Dec 2, 2022Phase 5 looking off to an incredible start, Ant Man looks like a huge step up from the first two and Guardians has always been the emotional heart of the MCU. Let’s hope The Marvels, Echo, Ironheart, Loki S2, and Secret Invasion bring it for a great Marvel year
