just got out of my showing and this is currently ranked as my fourth favorite movie of the year.
this feels like Timothée’s The Wolf of Wall Street moment—without question the finest performance I’ve seen from him, bar none. the film takes you to places you’d never expect a ping-pong movie to go, and had me surprised at every turn. the supporting performances from Odessa A’zion, Tyler Okonma, & Gwyneth Paltrow were electric, and elevated the film to even greater heights. pair all of that with cinematography that perfectly captures New York in the fifties and a remarkable retro futuristic score that evokes the spirit of late ’80s blockbusters, the result is truly something special and deserves to be experienced in theaters.
10/10

Thought the real villian in this was rachel
Outta HKW good time and uncut gems marty was prob the least s***tiest protagonist so i felt like he deserved a smack in the ass figuratively (aha) and learn from it(probably didnt)

No No Other Choice?
Kevin O’Leary is the best actor in this movie
Kevin O’Leary is the best actor in this movie
He’s great but that’s just because he’s playing himself
Best acting here was definitely Chalamet but otherwise I was most impressed with Odessa and Ferrara
Kevin O’Leary is the best actor in this movie
Wasn't even acting just being himself
This was exhilarating
God damn that scene where he finally wins and he just falls to the floor like the weight of the world and the moon just left his shoulders
Obviously I’ve never experienced anything to that specific level in my life, only to a smaller degree and for a moment I felt it again right along with him. Timothee is a master for being able to sell that feeling
When the slimy piece of s\*\*\* heartless a\*\*\*\*\*\* with a cause who should get whats coming to him just says f\*\*\* that and wins in the end >>>
Although I know the scene where he gets spanked with the paddle in front of those rich guys was where he was humbled
Still delicious to see as a lowkey bad person
He’s great but that’s just because he’s playing himself
Best acting here was definitely Chalamet but otherwise I was most impressed with Odessa and Ferrara
Chalamet was also pretty much playing himself personality wise
Wow this movie is incredible! What a crazy ride, the time flew by so fast. The opening credits
The score is amazing, performances are off the charts
Going to see it again before it leaves theatres
