I don’t get why people are so mad that Chalamet thinks so highly of himself. For the past few years he’s been widely regarded as the leading actor of his generation, now because he’s saying it out loud it’s not valid anymore?
The quiet part is that ALL creatives that pursue their passion professionally have to think this internally, there is an innate sense of ego and delusion that comes in thinking you can be a booked & busy actor or a musician who fills up venues.
At the end of the day, it’s a creative field. Nobody’s life is being affected if Timothée Chalamet bigs himself up. He’s not putting anyone else down in the process. Why are people so up-in-arms about it?
