Definitely agree on the midfield. I don’t think our squad can sustain possession style football against teams that are better than them.

Personally I’d say swift, brutal counter attacks are part of the dna of the club and that when done correctly, it works. For Palace under Glasner, it works, and it’s been working.

Not even saying that I think he would work as our manager, but think he’s a better candidate than somebody who hasn’t managed in the prem.

We’ve taken two supposedly top managers from other leagues and they’ve both completely failed, I’d be very wary of continuing that trend.

When it comes down to it our defenders don’t suit a back five, so that’d be a problem already.

It’s not even just the formation, the formation is just numbers on a paper. Glasner 343 looks so much different on the field.

The managers job consists of more than just picking the formation, there’s a million different ways you can play a formation, Amorim just lacks any tactical insight.

Play Bruno in his actual position and he’s still our best player, a missed penalty in a game that we wouldn’t have won anyway doesn’t change that

Honestly I think we need to go for Xavi, knows what it is to win, knows the responsibilities of managing one of the biggest clubs in the world. Even though his football wasn’t always the best at least he’s not a coward.

Whoever it is ima support em and hope it works out just like everyone did for Ruben hag and others.

At this point I’d say just do interim until end of season when he’s sacked in November and don’t hire till like May. We need to take a long hard look at options this time and not rush.

Maybe I’m wrong and glasner could handle a big club idk. Obviously he’s doing incredible work with palace, is prem proven, and lost his best player 2 years in a row with Olise and Eze, but has kept that team morale up. Even the guehi situation credit to Guehi for being an honorable dude, but I’m sure glasner played a part in keeping him on side.

Give Ruben until Nov and it’s cheaper to sack him then go interim until May, and if glasner finishes top 6 with palace get him in. If he falls apart and shows weakness go for someone else.

That’s what I’d do if I was berrada/whoever is in charge nowadays.

Honestly the way they move on transitions and counters is really entertaining imo, their game against Villa before the international break was a great example.

Wharton on the transition in that game was great.
