Glasner is doing well and like most names on fans wishlists (Xavi, Zidane, etc.) has the statistics on his CV to warrant the potential move.
I personally would be opposed to it because (even at Frankfurt) he plays with far less of the ball than his opponent. Heās a smash and grab, killer counter kind of guy. As Iāve said a few times - my main concern in a manager, whoever we get, is to hold a lot more of the ball with a proper central midfield than the opposition team.
Whoever the manager is though, our fans need to stop getting sucked into the cult and see them just as a guy doing a job theyāre being paid to do.
Definitely agree on the midfield. I donāt think our squad can sustain possession style football against teams that are better than them.
Personally Iād say swift, brutal counter attacks are part of the dna of the club and that when done correctly, it works. For Palace under Glasner, it works, and itās been working.
Not even saying that I think he would work as our manager, but think heās a better candidate than somebody who hasnāt managed in the prem.
Weāve taken two supposedly top managers from other leagues and theyāve both completely failed, Iād be very wary of continuing that trend.
When it comes down to it our defenders donāt suit a back five, so thatād be a problem already.

Tired of seeing 5 defenders on the pitch and Dorgu being the main creative/influencer on the pitch. I f***ing hated ETH football, and I canāt believe itās been even worse.
does anyone know anyone who is in favour of Man Utd playing 3-4-3 except Ruben Amorim

Itās not even just the formation, the formation is just numbers on a paper. Glasner 343 looks so much different on the field.
The managers job consists of more than just picking the formation, thereās a million different ways you can play a formation, Amorim just lacks any tactical insight.

Exactly. Even pep tweaks his tactics every single week based on who the opponent is. We do the same s*** every week crossing fingers and looking away praying it works and the other team was too stupid to study any past United games cause weāre gonna do the exact same thing.
Every argument from Amorim supporters for keeping him is: bbbut our last managers didnāt succeed either, what will you say if the next manager is even worse āļøš¤
The gall Ruben fans have to blame this loss on Bruno is so insane to me
How are there even Ruben fans, heās done nothing meanwhile Bruno with his flaws has actually saved this team for years.

Genuine mental illness, Iām not even joking. The s*** I see kop posting these days is genuine lunacy. Itās like Iām watching one of those Covid era Qanon conspiracy theorists at work
Thereās no need to defend Bruno just because Amorim is bad!
Play Bruno in his actual position and heās still our best player, a missed penalty in a game that we wouldnāt have won anyway doesnāt change that

šitās bonkers I couldnāt do it anymore makes no sense arguing with idiots

I wanna start fresh without both hope we can cash in next summer still.
But the Cunha Mbeumo AM thing makes me question if we can easily move away from the 3421 for next managerā¦
Honestly I think we need to go for Xavi, knows what it is to win, knows the responsibilities of managing one of the biggest clubs in the world. Even though his football wasnāt always the best at least heās not a coward.

Whoever it is ima support em and hope it works out just like everyone did for Ruben hag and others.
At this point Iād say just do interim until end of season when heās sacked in November and donāt hire till like May. We need to take a long hard look at options this time and not rush.
Maybe Iām wrong and glasner could handle a big club idk. Obviously heās doing incredible work with palace, is prem proven, and lost his best player 2 years in a row with Olise and Eze, but has kept that team morale up. Even the guehi situation credit to Guehi for being an honorable dude, but Iām sure glasner played a part in keeping him on side.
Give Ruben until Nov and itās cheaper to sack him then go interim until May, and if glasner finishes top 6 with palace get him in. If he falls apart and shows weakness go for someone else.
Thatās what Iād do if I was berrada/whoever is in charge nowadays.

Honestly the way they move on transitions and counters is really entertaining imo, their game against Villa before the international break was a great example.
Wharton on the transition in that game was great.
