I’ve never really understood playing him further back as a long-term solution, Mainoo too. Neither are really capable of doing the defensive work so they’d need somebody else next to them with legs to do that shift, which we also don’t have.

I prefer this than Bruno CM tbh. Just feel like he ultimately yes creates goals and stuff, but costs us 1 goal a game due to losing guys in midfield.

AM legit id put last or on par with CB.

Could be delusional but I’d have to imagine Zirkzee will be a much more viable option as well with Cunha and Mbuemo. Lots of movement in the box

Indeed. AM - while not perfect - at least we had Bruno and Amad and Garnacho (if Ruben didn’t go nuclear) as well as Mount and now probably sancho that is hard to move.

Striker is a a donkey and celebration specialist. And GK is a clown.

Delap (+ Ektike seemingly) going Chelsea, Osimhen wages unrealistic, Sesko to Arsenal, Gyokores might have already signalled he's going elsewhere (hopefully not). Beyond that you're left with not much, maybe a pricey move for an aging Mateta.

Why spend the same amount of money on whatever striker leftovers there are when you can get a baller like Mbeumo who's proven he can contribute just as much if not more.

Second rate striker always felt somewhat inevitable, so many clubs are looking for strikers this season.
