We better get rid of VDB this summer if we ainât gonna use him. Then we can still get some proper money for him.
@dutchye Your an Ajax fan what in your opinion is Ole getting wrong with Donny Van De Beek?
To me he is not using him properly and is too obsessed with the McFred pivot.
Too early to just get rid of him when the coach doesnât know how to integrate good players into a system properly. I will blame the scouts and higher ups for not finding a player that suits Ole system. Than just signing a player for the sake of it. Itâs unfair on the player

I honestly donât know what he was thinking. Donny played 2 insane seasons at Ajax at the 8/10 position. When he was bought Fernandes was already s***ting on the entire league. So he was obviously brought for playing behind or next to Bruno. He is a better footballer than the McFreds of this world. Only reason I see for this is Ole had to strengthen the defense with extra power on midfield which should be a temporary solution. But if you keep Pogba or stay playing with McFred, just sell him. Heâs not a winger or a striker everyone can see that. Donny himself is a fool too to do this transfer. He spoke to Ole before signing but unless he was promised a chance at 10 I donât know what he was thinking going to United. He ruined his own chances for the Euros with this too.
Not gonna blame Ole for VdB. Itâs the board fault + his own fault. VDB also just doesnât put the effort in someone like Fred or Scott does. He may be a better footballer but he doesnât have the same work rate and feels lost in so many games. We can blame everybody but VDB, but we canât deny the fact he has made quite a few minutes and done f*** all.

Hmmmm donât know tbh barely been given enough game time to come up with a conclusion âMcFred has better work rate than Donnyâ if thatâs the case then to me all we are in that case is a team of pashun merchants then.
Look at Tuanzabe in that case, we canât be quick to reaction mode and say heâs not good enough when he hasnât had enough minutes.
Itâs ridiculous how Ole doesnât use his squad depth.
Going back to Donny I agree itâs his fault, for signing to United, I doubt he would of predicted this is how he was gonna be used this season.
and yeah the scouts/board are to blame, Grealish was the main target and that wasnât possible so they asked VDS about Donny once PSG got involved with potentially doing a deal.
Instead of actually scouting the next possible player who could fit Ole system. Then again Ole wasnât gonna say ânoâ to signing Donny
Also bad luck. He got injured same time as Pogba for last 2 months he wouldâve had more opportunities if healthy while Poggers was on the mend

Work rate isnât the deal in my opinion. Every time he comes he tries to do his best. But his strength lies within passing and making runs behind the defense, not in walking in front of his own and engaging continuously in duels like Fred and Mctominay.
Also every time he makes minutes he doesnât play with someone like Bruno which complements his play (short combination play). Like you can blame Donny for being ignorant on his move, but not for his style of play or work rate.

it time
Chelsea v Liverpool fourth place spot might become a battle Chelsea have tougher 9 games remaining than liverpool
This is amazing news. People s*** on him constantly but we miss him so much when he's not playing
The agenda would be completely different if he had a world class forward to feed too. No one else has created as many chances in the league since he joined

Couldn't agree more. Not taken the chances he's been given but people seem to want to praise him as if he's some sort of prisoner and victim
Donny's problem is simply that he's not the type of AM that suits our style. He's a good player that doesn't suit our system. I don't think he'd ever fit in that AM spot. I think there's hope for him as a CM though. He knows how to link up play and progress the ball forward. We need to get a DM and switch to 4-3-3.
What chances has VDB got? Mans been given less minutes in the league than Van Dijk managed to clock by October.
And how we gonna blame the board/scouts yet absolve Ole here. He's got a veto on transfers. Scouts recommend an abundant amount of players and the board did their job and payed up when asked to.
VDB was brought in because Bruno was knackered at the end of last season. Now this season we're s***ter than expected and Ole still doesn't understand the importance of rotation and doesn't have faith in the rest of the team when Bruno is benched.
It also doesn't exactly help when Ole doesn't seem to have a clue where he wants him playing. He's played him in CM, AM, LM. At least let the guy build some consistency and understanding of the team dynamic and style.
The first (of 2) league games that VDB started in was against Southampton back in November and he was great in that game. The vast majority of his other minutes coming in games where he's on to see out the game for 10-15 mins if that. Or in really weak starting 11s in cup games with a bunch of players shoehorned together who were already on the fringe and lacking sharpness - Lingard, Ighalo, Williams, Mata, Matic, Fosu-Mensah etc.
Obviously and rightly so his confidence and sharpness is in the toilet. Any player would need a solid string of games to build that back and show what they can do. He hasn't been given that, simple as. VDB aint just suddenly become a s*** player. He proved his quality at Ajax. There's a reason he was linked with every top team in Europe and had clocked as many minutes at Ajax as he did. You give the guy barely any minutes in a new team then what do you expect. Especially when our attack has been so poor this season in their movement, tempo and finishing. Complete different wavelength to what he is accustomed to.

seems like that wont get the most out of bruno. we just need Haaland and everything will work out
I can always trust @DwindlingSun to put out a well thought out and constructive evaluation on a United topic
