The fact that they are superior in selling players (which United dont do well at all) and the context that they are competent in getting deals done early and efficiently are massive factors.

Not arguing for the Glazers, we obviously need a director of football but no one wants the job because they know the club will throw them under the bus.
Just saying that "we spend as much as Chelsea" when not taking the other factors of the transfer market into consideration is misleading
Beckham Scholes Lampard Gerard Owen Rooney Rio Terry Cole Neville
vs.
Sancho Sterling Grealish Rashford Kane Foden Saka Greenwood Trent Shaw Bellingham
lots of potential, but nowhere near the 2000s era yet and somehow all the talent is now in more attacking areas no good midfielders ala lamps/gerrard/scholes nor world class defenders like rio and terry (hell even sol Campbell better than current CB's)
We got further in the world cup last time with them than that older team did though

original point was that chelsea and real still won after jose left and that he didnt ruin them
A lot more invested in the Milan game after that win, the boys should be brimming with confidence
I'm still shocked we managed to pull that off. If we played that we'll every week we'd be genuine title contenders but I guess that's the issue
Bruno will no doubt get the player of the year accolade for us, but to me Shaw the real winner. His form has been great throughout the season. Need him to be selected for England in the Euro’s he deserves it so much
You know what I feel comfortable with Henderson in goal and he did set up that goal for Shaw

its one of his first good games for united, but city didnt really pressure him that much couple saves but he didnt have to do too much with feet.
open to giving him a chance to get the job, but not convinced yet.

The defence looked more comfortable too 👀
Performances like this after seeing as play at 0MPH against Palace. The patchy inconsistency of this side will do me no good, I swear.
Still think we’re a comfortable ‘second best in the league’ and I really think once PP and a few others are back from injury we’ll secure that. Begging we don’t get dragged back into a top 4 dogfight.
Milan match should be manageable. They’re coming to us with a lot of injuries - if we can kill the tie off first leg like we did against Sociedad, that would be great.
Like remember that Lyon game on august he just fails in big moments too often to far inferior teams and managers it’s been happening for awhile.
Tbh that’s the biggest flaw with Ferguson really. Our CL performances where we were the best team for a lot of seasons but never got our tactics right in those European nights. Only 2 CL’s is huge underachievement.
@Fundamentals @Valenciaisthebest thinking about the following futures bet. who messes me up:
inter - title (1.16 odds)
ajax - title (1.12)
chelsea - top 4 (1.40)
bkn nets - division (1.45)
miami heat - division (1.40)
