imagine we had Dias to partner Maguire. or even a Laporte who cant get in the team nowadays....

this is a poor excuse for ole as pep has put stones in with dias. pep would win with maguire and lindelof and he even wanted to sign maguire anyway.

Kinda feel bad for Ole, he wasn't given the money for the signings he wanted in the summer and we're exceeding expectations but we could be so much better

It’s his £130m defensive injections (Wan Bissaka 50m; Maguire 80m) that haven’t played well, though. It’s him who granted De Gea his new outrageous 300k+ p/w contract.

Credit to him on Shaw, mind. He’s really got him playing to the standard he’s always shown he could be at.

This summer is gigantic. It’s hard to say whether we’ve peaked under Ole and this is our level now — a side who are relatively comfortable top 4 and play good football in bunches but can’t extend to a title challenge, or if we’re literally just on the cusp and the right signings will take us over — similar to Klopp and VVD/Alisson.

One thing is for sure, though. I think we must win the FA Cup this summer, solely for the mental health of the players. Mentally we’re growing a bottlers reputation and this will go massively to remove that.

  • Crazy that Woodward knew the RW and striker issues would still be there next year but decided to address none of the other issues besides left back. I think all these years of wasting money on s*** players, barely any sales and Europa League football (all his fault btw) have given him a bit of that Arsenal mentality where he just sits back and hopes things fall into place so he doesn't have to spend
A 200m+ transfer window doesn't seem realistic and we've seen with Chelsea how it could go wrong. If he just split the transfers between the 2020 and 2021 summers United would have been better off this season, stronger next season and his head wouldn't explode from negotiating more than 2 deals at once

and when you have an experienced player like matic on the bench, you bring him on. Not axel.

the ball is literally flicked on by keane so it doesnt matter that maguire is there

Keane flicked it on for the would have been offside DCL, if Maguire had any sense of positioning.

The misuse of senior players like Matic and Mata is confusing. Don’t get me wrong, both are clearly past their sell-by dates but they’re the type of veterans you bring on to see out games or create something. Not Danny James and Tuanzebe

Maguire has no sense for positioning?

The one takeaway I take from that game is why didn’t Ole put on Matic in the last few minutes instead. If the goal was to keep possession. You needed a DM to control the situation

i get james because of pace. but matic still keeps the ball well and is good positionally

honestly no one can say they saw the seasons gundogan and stones are having. stones was finished but he is getting performances out of him. even the likes of rodri are defending well in midfield.

maguire doesn't know that's going to happen tho, embarrassing that he can't hold a proper line on a set piece

this season is full of so many letdowns. we started UCL with a win in Paris. dont even make the f***ing knockout stage in the end.

we go on a great run in the league to go top of the table, then completely fall apart these last 2 weeks.

  • Klopp trying to be too cute shifting Milner at left back to cover foden so Robertson can be more attacking has cost them

  • Damn Wtf is Allison doing

Yeah I'm not sure if we've reached out peak under Ole or not either. With the right signings we'd be winning the league right now but clearly they haven't been made.

I know most of us don't live near a lot of City fans and there aren't many of them on the internet but it'll hurt if/when they finish ahead of United for the 8th season in a row. Obviously they can't be as annoying as Liverpool, Arsenal or even Chelsea fans for some reason, but I disagree with anyone saying nobody cares about them
I'm going full delusional mode and convincing myself that Spurs and Arsenal can get something from them
