Everyone and their dog by now must know that the only hang-up on confirming Ten Hag is whether Southgate will be available

arguably? literally who else is even in discussion

Lot of ppl in NL don’t rate FdJ that much in the national team, hear him being called ā€˜postman’ a lot lol. Basically ppl think he carries the ball way too much and is scared to make any forward passes. Veerman takes a lot more risks in that regard. I think he’ll be missed against big teams tho, he’s the most press resistant player we got.

The more I find out about Ashworth the more I don’t like him.

(I know this is from Rob Dawson who has a horrific track record as of late but he’s not the first person to say this + Ashworth’s general preferences seem to point that way anyway)

Tbf, I don't know if it's fair to say Ashworth's preferences are INEOS' preferences. After the Tuchel news broke the other day, Fabrizio said Tuchel was INEOS' top target, and he obviously doesn't fit the build of a "yes man" manager.

Ashworth and Brailsford were the ones very keen on McKenna. Ashworth is also big on the idea of an English manager so my guess is he's also the one pushing for Southgate/Frank, Brailsford may be aligned with that thinking as well, maybe not.

Best case scenario is, all of this is bullshit. Worst case scenario is, none of this is bullshit and in addition to not knowing what to do with the current manager, there is no unified vision of who the next manager should be and there are warring philosophies.

Yeah things like that make you doubt INEOS a lot. And Ashworth seemed to be the right man from what i read... but a ' yes man' is some loser mentality ish. Hope we are wrong about it all and it's just some bs reports.

I like that french CEO, he atleast believed in Erik being a topmanager and wanted to stick with him

What is there to know or not know? They’ve leaked interviews that they’ve done with other avail managers. And it turned out they didn’t like the candidates (shocker). Only thing unknown is do they stick with eth or not. But ineos’s goal is obvious.
