I said this days ago. From ETH’s perspective how can he possibly be okay with this? The trust is gone, the relationship is forever soured. This whole process has been a sham. This was never a ā€œreview periodā€ it’s a ā€œlet’s see if we can get someone we like more than you, and if not… I guess we’ll stick with youā€ period. The guy turned down Bayern for this… it has to be taken as the ultimate disrespect, and I kinda hope he just ends up snubbing them, they deserve it.

Ineos’ first big decision and they’ve gone about it the completely wrong way smh

it is obvious, anyone with IQ above 50 (still low Nous status), can see that.

they've literally interviewed every available manager in the last 4 weeks. they clearly do not want ETH. if you want somebody, you dont do 10 interviews with a potential replacement.

but yeah just like their moves for ashworth and whoever else lately, INEOS moves poorly.

  • Jun 10, 2024

Also I’ve legit never even heard of any club ever. Doing 4 weeks of interviews of other managers. Before ā€˜deciding’ on their current manager. Anywhere else, the process is to sack, and then do that.

    Ineos is scummy.

It proves why he is unlike any manager. He makes me understand the importance of a real team chemistry and bond with players, their team and their manager. To fight like you’re about to enter a war, everything for the win. And to keep that hunger alive every new season. Only that warrior mentality breeds serial winners šŸ’ŖšŸ¼ šŸ†

I do wonder if Ancelotti is the closest to him in coaching style šŸ¤”

probably in coaching style yes. all the united players explained that SAF delegated the sessions to the assistants he brought in. whereas I think Pep is very hands on on the training pitch. and like Madrid, we got the best out of building around our skillful players, whereas say someone like Pep, will fit his players into his vision and not necessarily build around a specific player.

e.g. we literally played Rooney LW for 2 seasons basically in UCL because Ronaldo didnt track back and could be hidden at striker more. pep would never do that. Carlo would.

Poch was manager of world 11 vs England who were undefeated in their lasts 10 matches …and he f***ing lost..

    Born loser

I think we all knew INEOS were a bit… eh, no? It was only the desperate ones who blamed every shortfall on the Glazers who lost rationality. INEOS have had Nice for years and there’s been no discernible success to suggest they’ll cause ripples here.

The guys we’re hoping who will make all the difference aren’t here yet. I think we have to pine hopes on guys like Berrada and Ashworth to make significant change (if any).

Koopmeiners also not sure to go either so he has to call up a midfielder first (probably Quentin Timber) and Maatsen only after that.

oh damn i didn’t even know koopmeiners isn’t fit either, that would be a real shame if he doesn’t go after the season he had

kinda unfortunate cause him and frenkie are arguably two of holland’s best midfielders imo

i do like reijnders though and this schouten guy seems really solid defensively so it might not necessarily be a bad thing after all

intrigued who will end up as a starter in this situation since there’s quite a lot of midfielders to choose from

well yeah, most definitely. i mean his attacking abilities make him kind of an exception for a midfielder to me so it’s hard to compare him with these other guys and judge

i don’t think anyone else really belongs to the discussion so you’re right, there’s reijnders and gravenberch but i definitely don’t rate these two as highly as koopmeiners, completely different playstyles tho tbf

btw this is crazy if it actually ends up happening, why on earth would he deliberately do this and leave leverkusen for the mess bayern is these days
