You can't expect this squad of players to play eyecatching Ajax football. Demanding them to do both a possession style effortlessly WHILE getting wins to get them in top 4 sounds very entitled for a fan of a club that's been this deteriorated.

What’s the goal for the season? Last season was top 4 and a trophy for many. Is this year the same? Less?

This year is mainly meant to rebuild some team spirit and weed out the bad players and get in the right players for next season imo.

If you want longterm success you've got to accept short term losses.

Aim for a season should always be more than the prior one. For the league that means comfortable top 4 at minimum. And a competitive cup run - can't necessarily guarantee a trophy but we should be making at least one deep run.

Arsenal is a great recent case study.

We're only having rebuilding talk because of how disastrous this season has begun.

Going into the season we shouldn't have had very many questions (if any) about the strength of the squad.

On that basis we can't just say well now this season will be about rebuilding. Can't just become constant salvage jobs.
