Diamonds are made under pressure and clearly a lot of players are mentally checked out. What they need is a disciplined approach while shouldering the heat. Look at the ending of Liverpool last season when they made it out of the dark tunnel with a winning streak. All because they didn’t give up in eachother or the manager.

No, you just need to bring the right players in and change the mentality of the players you have. Erik doesn’t have the ability to just get rid of the people who don’t fight and bring in unlimited new ones. Especially not with the current scouting department and financial problems.

None of the older players are just gonna rollover and become a warrior of a player overnight especially with the toxic state of the club rn. They need to show to eachother but more importantly to themselves that when the going gets tough, they will no longer resort to giving up or moaning about or letting their heads hang low.

These changes take time. Only through tough times can you build the type of character you wish Erik could’ve instilled in training or by buying other players.

If ETH is in charge of who we signed (99% certain he is considering evidence of their connection to Ajax or Holland), and he okayed us overpaying, same logic should apply to him not actually wanting these players out.

He wanted Rashford under 200k the board rejected that idea.

He wanted Antony from the beginning of the transfer season (40m) and got him for double at the very end of the window, poor negotiations are not his fault and responsibility.

He wanted De Jong, Kane, Kim Min Jae, Todibo & Amrabat and none of them came bar one on a loan last-minute due to incompetence from the board.

De Jong was replaced for an aging Casemiro, not his pick.

Again warriors are BUILT, not bought. Good players go to ruin if half the team is still playing the same old way. You HAVE to go through the ring of fire to build the type of warrior mindset and togetherness that United scream out for rn.
