Cus there is no way mainland European clubs can see Arsenal and City wanting to pay €100+ million euro’s for Declan Rice and Havertz and MacAllister going for €70 million each and them not thinking they have gone completely bonkers in England.

You can already see this with Newcastle paying €80 million to Milan for Tonali and the hundreds of millions Chelsea spent last January on glorified mid.

i feel like this could have been communicated to DDG earlier - i genuinely think we were going to keep him for another year because of budget, but the errors post sevilla game have just been too costly and he doesn't really have that 'amazing shot stopper' title to fall back on anymore so its forced ETH's hand

its a shame, he will go down as a united legend best in the game for years but once again the club let it turn bitter by not being ruthless enough
