My prediction is the end fight will be between Superman, Lex and Brainiac. Near the end of the fight, Brainiac is defeated and Lex opens a portal that Superman falls through which is the Salvation planet from Peacemaker. He’s trapped. Lex takes all the credit for saving the world and announces his run for president “The Tomorrow Party” and claims himself as the Man of Tomorrow. Credits roll.

Post credit scene…Bruce Wayne is watching Lex’s announcement on TV in the Wayne Manor.

Superman doesn’t care how it will make him look to the public hence him intervening in the Boravian/Jaranpurian conflict. If he thinks Lex can help him save the world he will work with him. That’s just who he is as a character. Sounds like great and comic accurate writing to me.
