Why not?
It’s already been almost four years since Part I, it would be nice to know at least the basic synopsis for what Part II will be about
I mean tbf there were bare bones details at best for The Batman up until the Fandome teaser
We’ll know casting, characters and be able to infer details from rumors, but we are a long ways from even slightly knowing concrete things about Part 2
There’s not really an incentive to tell us the same way you might for a Superman film
You like the lines
I like the collar. Lines I got used to. Indifferent on them. If they went away I wouldn’t care, but I also don’t hate them on it.
Ok I like his voice for it
https://twitter.com/lanternupdates/status/2002421969367805974He’s legit.
There was a period in time where I kept by chance watching shows like this he was in. Standout supporting act in each one, and rarely a likable character
Never imagined seeing him attached to Hollywood, but he is naturally a villain

ngl i barely knew what the first movie was gonna about when i saw it aside from the riddler being the bad guy and i felt like i semi kept up at least watched the trailers

lol if I am going to see a movie either way the eager need to know villains , plot details, if they are adapting a comic too soon is unnecessary. It’s often people getting over hyped creating crazy theories before we even get a teaser . People were arguing over who was going to play brainiac over just rumors. Rollouts go too long in a way cause as soon as a movie ends people want the next one , casting details and more . Batman part 2 I get it’s been a while but I just let them cook and they gave us Gotham in between

I guess but I wouldn’t call it too soon at all, it’s not like The Batman just came out, it was almost half a decade ago at this point

Yeah just don’t like rollouts starting before they are even ready because by the end they are dropping 10 clips
Tbf was the DCEU much different? Outside of Affleck, you had Henry Cavil, Ray Fischer, Momoa after 1 season of GoT where he didn’t even speak English, Gadot with small roles in Fast & Furious movies, and Ezra Miller who had indie buzz Perks of a Wallflower and We Need To Talk About Kevin
In contrast, The Batman universe is stacked with big names and has had success with it
Big names are big for a reason. As long as they buy into the material they can play these comic book roles no problem

They couldn’t afford big stars
They couldn’t afford big stars
The casting budget all goes to Batman
Nah but as with any franchise, as it grows we’ll see more and more big names starring in the movies

The Batman wasn’t as big of castings as they look now though. People used to joke it had an A24 cast in 2019
Pattinson was only just getting back to big Hollywood films after his indie run and others weren’t much of A listers at the time, nor in some cases the first options. They were maxing out at Robs $3M.
They’re only now beginning to open the bank for Part 2 castings cus Reeves has an ultra green light
Edit: also DCEU casted Leto, Robbie and Will Smith at HIGH rates

No one said A lister, tweet said unknown. Pattinson was most definitely still a big name at the time as he was just nominated for an Oscar in 2019. Wright, Farrell, Dano, Kravitz. They were all known names. Twilight was a bigger franchise than those Fantastic 4 movies Chris Evans starred in before joining the MCU
How often does an A lister even join a comic book movie at the peak of their careers? Off the top of my head, The Rock and Margot Robbie?
No need to split hairs. I’m not dismissing DCU, I like what they’re building. I just dislike those new DCU Twitter accounts acting like this is all uncharted territory and constantly switching their opinions to shill. As if they weren’t fan casting big names for months themselves
Krypto hate is so forced
When he flew in during the most important scene of the movie

I guess I misread. I was looking at it more from names drawing big budgets than merely known names. The Batman has established names, but on incredible salary bargains compared to previous franchises in 2010s. They were working with restraints
Jared Leto was in SS for 7 min and got paid more than double of Pattinson who was in cowl for over 2 hours of screen time. Not to mention tens of millions thrown at Affleck and Smith. A lot had changed since DCEU days.
Also Pattinson doesn’t have an Oscar nom (yet)
