The degradation? The desperation? Humiliation? It’s inhumane. The nature of the competition is not at all the same as something like sports

i think they signed up for it to raise money, i think the people cheering them on were not doing it as patronizing
i think if army vets had some sort of scramble for money to get more money for the "navy" or "army" or whatever at a football game they would be for it and people would cheer
i think we can agree that there is an issue with teachers not getting paid enough and classrooms needing more supplies/help with also saying this video is not the issue and some silly halftime shenanigans. nothing more

Looks like some white people s***, they think it’s fun/funny or something. I doubt it’s a last resort kinda thing, like it’s not a “necessity” for those participating, just tryna get some extra dough for the kids
but for sure the education system needs to be improved and given more funding, especially in lower income communities
