Lupe cannot and will not make anything better than either version of F&L or The Cool. It’s literally impossible at this point. Way too different of a place he’s in.

Really? Him singing the name of slave ships gave me chills. The flows and accent changes were spectacular. Minus the pop-ish songs Drogas Wave is incredible to me.

Need opinions after first listen
So I listened to it. Very strong (dense) lyrically. A lot to unpack. I’ve always been more of a production guy been a lyrics guy, however, so I still prefer t&y over this, but this is a STRONG ass album and the production isn’t bad by any means. Also The concept kinda just stops halfway through. Not really sure what happened there
My favorite song is Alan forever. It’s a reallly touching tracks. Gives me goosebumps

yeah its a double album. track 1-9 is wave the slave concept and then the rest is drogas.
