Who are the athletic defenders in the draft class. Could actually use defenders all over

    Center Forward Guard

Zuby Ejiofor. He's an undersized athletic 6'9 forward that played PF/C in college mocked around late first / early second round.

Lakers could get possibly get him at 25th if they really like him.

there's 2 other notables that are mocked in the second round

    Billy Richmond
    Coen Carr

Both forwards. Neither can shoot. Coen Carr might end up going back to school.

Rob can buy a second round and get Billy Richmond, which I'm hoping he does.

    Draft season approaching yall

Alot of the guys that I like went back to college or increased their stock.

But here's some guys to keep an eye on

    Joshua Jefferson
    Henri Veesaar
    Amari Allen
    Zuby Ejiofor

Out of all the guys I just named, I would choose Joshua Jefferson.

He's a 6'8 forward who has high IQ and good feel. He's a really good passer and basically a point forward. Also a great defender that has good hands and knows where to be and very switchable on D. Can score inside. His main weakness is his shooting (34% from 3).

Most mock drafts have Lakers choosing Henri Veesar. He's a 7 foot center that shot 41% from 3 but he's not switchable on D and not the greatest defender. He has good basketball IQ but he's not much of a lob threat. He's also skinny af.

Veesar fits with Luka because he can stretch the floor but I don't trust his 3 point shooting (He shot 61% from the free throw line; red flag) and he will probably be a drop coverage big since he can't switch. I honestly wouldn't draft him.

I wouldn't be mad if Rob traded the pick too.

    @Leftside @YoungFashioned @Ye24 @Saturn @iamiguel @Camille

I haven't been locked into the draft process, we should probably trade the pick for this year

nah i feel like that's too much

I'm not high on Herb's 3 point shooting and I would need to see more from Missi.

Way too risky to give up everything for that package.

Luka is really special on offense, the reason why teams like Thunder beat us is because they play fast, plus defenders, and athletic. Not because they are more Talented on offense

    yea it would've been nice.

Carr was the guy I wanted when we started losing games after Luka and Reaves got injured.

He was projected to be around 17-27 but his stock went through the roof after the NBA combine.

    He could go 10-20 now.

Aday Mara is another one guy who was mocked around the 17-25 range but now he might go top 10.

rob really needs to hit with the pick, would be surprised if we don't buy into the second round again too; we need cost controlled youth badly. cannot keep up with okc and the spurs through only free agency and trades

if rob could trade 2 picks for a high impact player like murphy while shedding vando's salary in the process and somehow keep this season's pick and draft a rotation player

The Los Angeles Lakers have expressed interest in several candidates for their front office openings, including Timberwolves assistant general manager Steve Senior, 76ers assistant general manager Prosper Karangwa, Heat vice president of player personnel Eric Amsler, Jazz vice president of player personnel Bart Taylor, and others, league sources told HoopsHype.

"Senior passed on an offer from the Lakers and decided to remain with the Timberwolves.

With the 76ers and Daryl Morey parting ways, Karangwa has received interest from the Lakers and Mavericks, HoopsHype has learned.

Amsler has been with the Heat for 22 years, including winning three NBA championships in seven appearances.

Taylor was previously the G League Executive of the Year with Utah’s Salt Lake City Stars."
