He’s 24 too. He should get a shot in these filler regular season games
yeah im not understanding, he's getting no minutes, not even garbage time. lmao if this ends up being another jay huff situation
I don’t think Ayton likes LeBrons ego. He plays his best ball without LeBron. We aren’t going get another center like him. Kobe is only 22 and nick smith is 21. We added 2 first round picks for nothing. We should try to develop them for backcourt depth….
I agree we could use another wing FG
Rui is shooting 43 percent while playing for the lakers. Most guys shrink and lose their jumper playing with lakers. Maybe he could be a super 6th man but JJ doesn’t use him in that role
ayton is just mid and he looks good because we're comparing it to the s*** we had last season. in general, he's mid impact wise. if he picks up his option, whatever but resigning him? nah. keep in mind the contract he's on, the team he's on, who he's playing with, and hes still is inconsistent with his effort.

I’ll wait to see how Ayton does in the playoffs. Regular season whack anyway

I could see if he was raw and 19 and strictly g league but this isn’t the case

Ayton is who he is at this point. Talented seven footer with a low to non existent motor. He can have some good games but to believe we can rely on him long term to come through consistently in big games (playoffs more specifically) would be silly

Who we going get 7 foot that is better ?
Who we going get 7 foot that is better ?
Nikola Jokic
JJ Redick says Austin Reaves has been playing 3-on-3 as part of his return-to-play process. Mentioned “he’s looked like Austin” in his live-court sessions. Stay-ready games should be happening soon.
Someone please get LeBron and his son of this team man
guy brought us back within 2 points
get pooi hackmura off the team
nothing worse than these dudes deciding to play defence and hustle 6 minutes into the 3rd
JJ should try telling the guys the opening tip is actually the second half of the game
guy brought us back within 2 points
get pooi hackmura off the team
I’m tired of this squad man
JJ Redick says there was "not enough passing" for the Lakers tonight, which is a consistent theme in a lot of their losses.
JJ Redick:
"There's gotta be a trust factor with all of our guys, just to trust the pass... As much as we can talk about being connected on defense, we also have to be connected on offense."
LeBron James on the Jeanie Buss report:
"I don't really care about the reports, to be honest... At the end of the day, when I came to this organization, my whole mindset was about restoring excellence... And I was able to do that along with 16 other guys, winning a championship here.
That's always been my mindset. Quite frankly, I don't care about articles, I don't care about podcasts."
LeBron added that he thought his relationship with Jeanie was good, but there's always two sides to the coin. He feels there has always been "respect" and a "great partnership."
"Come on, guys. Don't make this more than what it is."
LeBron was asked if this is where he wants to be the rest of the season, considering he holds the cards with his no-trade clause:
"I'm good. I'm good. I'm good."

This is why I feel like Rob should look into just trading a first for Claxton instead of trying to save the picks for a wing.
He was willing to do it for Mark Williams so I don't see why he wouldn't do it for Claxton who is a better defender and fits with Luka too.
Ayton can't be trusted.
Hayes is a good backup and has been playing great but I also don't trust him in a starting role.
The starting center has been an issue for years and I don't see the Lakers getting a quality starting big that fits with Luka without giving up a pick.
Rob can just try to get Watson in free agency.
This is the Nets package I'm really liking right now (money works).
You get more two way wings, athleticism, the ideal center, and maintain financial flexibility.
Lakers get
Nic Claxton
Ziaire Williams (team option + athletic + can guard multiple positions)
Terance Mann (two way wing that can start or come off the bench)
Tyrese Martin (expiring contract + solid defender + shoots decent from 3)
Nets get
Rui Hachimura
Jarred Vanderbilt
Gabe Vincent
Deandre Ayton
First round pick
It's funny how Nets have the kinds of players we need.
Rob also has a good relationship with Sean Marks (Nets GM).
Some kind of trade with them makes sense.
but no matter what, I want Gabe, Maxi, Rui, Vando, and Knecht off this team.

Luka has been here for a year now, let’s not waste anymore of this guy’s time
