Luka Doncic on how his groin felt:

"It's OK. Not bad... Gonna try to play through it."

  • Silas

    JJ Redick on Jarred Vanderbilt:

"When our team is at our best, we have guys that star in their roles without necessarily scoring the basketball... Vando has now had a month-long stretch, outside of a couple games, where he's starred in his role, and tonight was another example of that."

Vandy a decent bench forward. we could throw him in certain matchups for needed d. I. want to see more timme. Looks like he spaces the floor for a big. hes been hustling and doesn't look like a liability

    Looking long term Lakers 5years

    C- Ayton 27, Hayes 25

I honestly think Ayton is going earn a 2nd contract. He’s in the middle of his prime and a good pair with Luka. Hayes is what he is, back up center

    F- Rui 27, LARAVIA 24, Theiro 21
I think Rui and LaRavia are starting level forwards. Both in their prime. I feel like Therio can develop to atleast a rotation player. Could maybe add another forward

    G- Reaves 27, Luka 26 , Kobe 22, N Smith 21

Reaves and Luka are strength of the team. Kobe and Smith might stick long term as reserves…

I think our top draft need is another big forward who can play 3/4 and defense

I don't like Ayton for this team going into next season. Don't like his attitude, too inconsistent with his effort. I also don't think they need to spend big money on a starter. As much as I thought Hayes was borderline garbage last season, he's really taken a leap this season and he plays with effort all the time, willingly does the dirty work. Jericho Sims is a player in a similar mold and can be signed for cheap.

Rui is too one dimensional, both offensively and defensively and doesnt rebouund. He can go. Laravia is a keeper. I'd look to add Peyton Watson or Tari Eason although theyre RFAs, Thybulle is another player.

reaves and luka obviously the franchise players going forward, gotta resign Smart. nick smith and kobe will not be back lol. Look at add Keon Ellis. Possibly Lu Dort if OKC doesnt pick up his option. Ayo Dosumnu or whatever and Alvarado are really good options to add to the backcourt too.

Draft wise, it needs to be a wing who can play immediately if needed.

JJ Redick says that Deandre Ayton got poked in the eye and currently "looks like a pirate."

He added that the eye is not in great shape right now but hopes it will be better tomorrow.

    Drew Timme looking good

hes probably worse than maxi defensively, but offensively hes a threat and that it worth the trade off. at least hes not afraid to shoot

also is chris manon not a 3 and D player? if so why the f*** is he getting absolutely no minutes on a team that desperately needs that exact player

LeBron was asked for a reaction to not being named an All-Star starter for the first time in 22 years:

    "None at all."

He added that he would be grateful to be voted in by the coaches as a reserve but would also be OK with extra rest and time off if he's not.

Luka Doncic says the Lakers' defense was "awesome" in the second half, crediting the coaching staff for switching up the game plan and the players for executing it.

He’s 24 too. He should get a shot in these filler regular season games

I don’t think Ayton likes LeBrons ego. He plays his best ball without LeBron. We aren’t going get another center like him. Kobe is only 22 and nick smith is 21. We added 2 first round picks for nothing. We should try to develop them for backcourt depth….

I agree we could use another wing FG

Rui is shooting 43 percent while playing for the lakers. Most guys shrink and lose their jumper playing with lakers. Maybe he could be a super 6th man but JJ doesn’t use him in that role

Marcus smart is 31. I could see him being good until 35 before he loses a step. Hes a good pairing with Reaves and Luka

id like him resigned on a 3 year deal, hes one of those culture setting guys with how hard he plays, his competitiveness and we need more of those. that is infectious when you have enough players buying in. thats why id really want Dort on this team, hes one of those players
