My overall perspective on Logic is, he does have great ear for beats, able to flow over them well, and is a positive figure for hip-hop in general. What bothers me about his music though is the constant filler bars (Which I felt were also evident on this album) and some lack of originality. I know 99% of hip-hop artists borrow elements of other rappers they were influenced by, but with Logic its kinda blatant. At least he tends to acknowledge it and seems to give a homage I'm assuming?
Those were the reasons that prevent me from fully becoming a fan of his music, oh along with dropping several mediocre albums too. Glad he still ended his hip-hop career with a solid body of work, still don't think he'll retire 100% from rap
open mic\aquarius III might be my favourite song now the way he flowing is effortless
and that beat switch

u prefer soul food 1 or soul food 2 (part one of each) beat more?

ngl i like 1 more. the 2nd part of 1 is sooooo hard
edit: just saw you meant part one of each beat. i like part 2 in that case

Soul Food II first beat/verse is better than Soul Food but the second part on Soul Food>second part on Soul Food II. Two of my favorite Logic songs tho.
Expect this album to be great because it's the sequel to Under Pressure and produced by No ID, but I know everyone will hate no matter what.

Well f***ing said
Much less filler bars on this project. Dark Place is the most focused, transparent, and vulnerable we’ve heard logic in years. Kinda reminds me of his song he made called Nikki off under pressure. Dark Place is way better this s*** is dope asf
Why a dude who been accused on biting Kendrick whole career went and got the same sample as The Heart Pt. 2 is beyond me

I think Fantano said it the best when he said Logic comes off as more of a fan than his own artist and that's been the case throughout his career.
It bothers me a bit when people call him lyrical because 99% of the stuff I hear from him is surface level pseudo-intellectual bullshit.

He looks up to Drake, Kendrick, and Cole and has said as much.

I agree, mainly enjoyed this album because of the beats and Logic flowing over them smoothly, otherwise like you said I don’t really take him seriously as a lyricist
A2Z is one of the worst songs I’ve heard all year
Def not one of my favs on here but hows it that bad?
“I love my wife like I’m Chance and you can’t relate cause ur a p**** and on KTT2 all day”
really not cool
loving this record. easily better than his last 2 albums. would be surprised if he's actually done, prob gonna take a few years off for sure though.
my man should've just named GP4 growing pains 4 because literally every time i see the track title i can't help but think G4P
