people aren’t romanticising protesting. they feel it is just and the anger they feel goes above that other stuff. protesting should force the government’s hand to do something and after that the community can come together and help rebuild
you focusing on jobs making u look suspect

It’s so funny people actually think that was a cop when there is quite literally zero evidence of that.
you think this s*** is a game huh? @door
This one is from way back in the Rodney king riots. You can imagine black business owners feel the same damn way now
And you have the nerve to call me a coon. Shut the f*** up cac. Don’t ever call me that again you stupid f***ing cracker.
How y’all feel about someone just sharing this photo and not saying anything else?
https://www.instagram.com/p/CAqYhJoA2Us/?igshid=1kpj0eycku2fdBeen seeing it a lot on IG with no additional comments
I feel no way about it . You can feel strongly about something and not post it . So someone going an extra step to put it in the face of their followers def don’t bother me . People don’t have to force paragraphs if they have nothing else to say

protestors also defended an Asian restaurant yesterday after people rushed the store and one of its employees
People in the thread simply pointing out that these riots will affect people aren’t idiots . You can point out a true fact and still feel like the riots are understandable.
Lmao so ridiculous
U right tho i remember seein footage of some whiteys burning palm trees during the riots like huh

i said this earlier in the thread, and i get not wanting to appear as if you're siding on jobs/businesses over lives, but there's something to be said in the very least about being against black people's businesses being destroyed (essentially their livelihoods). You can be pro-protest (even pro-riot), and still be against the destruction of actual participants in the community's livelihoods, especially when such people are the ones you're trying to protect. f*** autozone, target, whatever else, those are ultimately chains that don't give a s*** about people one way or another, but local immigrant or community-participant owned businesses aren't just "businesses" in the sense of faceless investors trying to make money, they're the direct result (usually) of people's entire livelihoods and attempt of supporting their family.
it's not like people (on this site) are complaining about protestors burning golf courses or country clubs or useless upper class symbols like that, it's stuff like a black women's hair salon being thrashed and a black former-firefighter's sports bar being rampaged. this isn't even largely by black people either, it's by dumbass white people thinking they're helping black people by "revolting" when they're really makes things worse for the actual local community and just want to feel like they're making a difference.
what time did they start yesterday
