I hear ya, I hear the Laroi/Dior comparisons as well
I think I'm being forgiving since it's the lead single, and I know that the rest of the project won't sound like this
I hope, would be fine as a single not on the project cause I dont know how this will fit the theme of the tape at all really especially with the school themes. Seems very weird all around
we got so many f***ing snippets this and last year
sad that majority of these songs won’t ever drop but i hope uzi really chooses the best ones
like this one there’s probably zero chance it drops but It really got into my head and I luv it

Same energy as this first listen.
I need to sit on this song for a bit before I call it trash
The video looks exactly like this, I thought this was the comparison but yes I get the comparison. I think Uzi could execute it better but the quality of the songs just needs to be there
need this now
yeaaaa This definitely the best one alongside its over
Still want a heavy d*** induced experimental album from uzi with tracks like:

Some left field s*** for him to drop on sc 4 da real

The high school theme is my biggest issue with this as well, seems regressive for Uzi, bro is a full on adult now, in a way, this should have been the single for Forever Young lmao fits that concept way better
I don't hear much cohesion in the sound of the Pink Tape based off snippets, but it is hard to judge without having the full project released, I mean, if you heard a handful of LIR2 in isolation you'd be left pretty confused since there is so many different sounds & styles
But ultimately, that's one of LIR2's greatest strengths - its variety. Hopefully Pink Tape can recapture that
This one though
this needa be on there too Aaaaaaaah
!https://youtu.be/uA6_fo-akwIand this one Yea

This One sounds so hard too i hope it ends up Somewhere
Not fitting the pink tape vibe though probably so I hope rowdy or Herb drop it if they on it
It just sounds hard

Like if you heard them both back-to-back, you'd find it hard to believe Early 20 Rager and How To Talk both come from the same project
I think that'll be the case here with the Pink Tape
The Weeknd didn't push Too Late as the first single, he used Blinding Lights
Similar thing has happened here, this'll do very well as a mainstream single

I think Heartless would be the more direct comparison bc it’s more trend following like this track but yeah, doubt the project is all in this vain
when he played it on ig and No one was sure if its carti Or not
Japanese clothes on me but never been in Japan!
DAMN
I BARELY MADE IT TO FRANCE

I think LIR2 worked like that cause that was following in the path of LIR which also was that mash up of hard songs, more melodic songs, and straight hits. So with context I think it'd make sense but just off only listening to snips it'd sound like a mixed bag of sounds.
Pink Tape (in name only because of his hairstyle at the time) would maybe follow the TPLT route and be more poppy songs focusing more on melody than like hard rapping. But yeah based off the snippets I have no clue. The only things we have any good inkling would be on it is Rage Music since he's performing that but idk he didn't drop Of Course, or any of those singles before EA so who knows.
Plus he kept teasing dropping older stuff too which I feel like he's gonna back peddle on (good or bad, I'd love the songs but its not gonna progress his career at all). S***s a mystery to me 100% but this is a safe start, could not be indicative of anything else on it but definitely has lowered my interest in the project a bit if this is where he's at now.
It just feels like the opposite of Uzis old attitude of doing what he wants (and maybe this is) but this s*** feel manufactured and safe and thats so opposite his persona it doesnt add up for me at all.
