i’ll just repost what i posted in the album thread after a few listens of this, its a messy read but i just wanted to get some initial thoughts about this off my chest - a lot of this could surely change in the upcoming days though
yea as i said this really not fully hitting for me so far, i will keep listening though still letting it marinate
however here are some of my initial thoughts:
most of the rage-influenced songs from the beginning of the album didn’t really resonate with me honestly, feel like those could grow on me with time though
from the first 10 songs he went like 6/10 at most for me and i feel like im still being quite generous too
that song with travis was really disappointing unfortunately and i actually really loved the snippet too
anyways intro is cool, suicide doors is nuts i wish carti was featured he would eat that beat as well, x2 and i gotta my favourites from the first 10 songs i feel (and i do quite enjoy spin again and crush em feel like these gonna grow on me but still not entirely sure about these)
i surprisingly didn’t really enjoy uzi’s take on rage-influenced sound as much as i thought i would honestly
also everytime uzi does that throat screech or whatever i should call that thing he does with his voice its pretty satisfying and it goes kinda hard but also makes me quite uncomfortable at the same time lol
since track 10 it got really better imo, especially that run from i gotta til all alone is great, thats when uzi’s at his best honestly - and dont get me wrong, im actually really pleased that the album wasn’t full of songs like these and that he experimented with it and got really creative even though some of these songs dont really hit for me
im definitely not an annyoing i want the old uzi back fan and im really glad and appreciate that he actually made something quite unique which feels like a great represantion of uzi as of late (at least it seems to me that he made an album that he really wanted)
the run from nakamura to werewolf is another really nice and oddly interesting one - im a fan of chop suey, one of the highlights on there for me, not that sure about werewolf and nakamura but they’re growing on me
anyways, the sequencing really felt quite weird from werewolf to pluto2mars to seroquel but regardless, pluto to mars was well worth the wait and sounds amazing
days come and go is arguably my favourite on there, rehab is really amazing as well and i honestly quite enjoyed the end
good to see of course and zoom deservedly released on streaming, they still one of the highlights on there honestly - on the other hand shardai is just purely mediocre and could’ve stayed in the vault, hard to forgive uzi for not dropping for example movie instead thats just a ridiculous move
actually in the end im quite disappointed that there wasn’t any other jersey track as many of us probably expected, i did expect and truly wanted at least one - really happy about the amount of rock/numetal tracks but i feel like he could’ve included some more jersey (e.g. dummy man) instead of some of the rage songs towards the beginning
all in all, as i said im really glad that uzi released something more left-field and experimental than usual even if i don’t enjoy it as much (at least for now) - really feels like an album that he truly wanted the world to hear and i appreciate it way more than if he dropped an “old uzi” effort
i will always hold creativity in high regards even if i feel like some of the songs weren’t meant for me (those surprisingly weren’t the rock ones actually) and even if i dont end up liking it in the end (which may or may not be the case - obviously i cant properly judge this just off few listens on the release day)
This album is amazing. Days Come and Go and Rehab are beautiful
real
days come and go is my favourite alongside endless fashion and rehab is sooo amazing as well
Yo I just realized Suicide Doors is the evil Sanguine Paradise. I’d been thinking all morning that the flows on those two were similar so I listened to Sanguine again and the last line is “…And my doors suicide.”

Crush em is Kinda a sequel to Myron the way he goes complete Myron on the flow at one point. Crazy Easter eggs to be found.

Yeah I can hear that fs, still remember hearing Myron on LUVVTW2 for the first time

I remember when he previewed it with that dance.

His flow in the first verse sounded very similar to the Drippin (Not Hiding) leak
Gave each song 5+ listens so this is my first day impressions:
Flooded the Face - another solid Uzi intro, not as poppy or catchy as previous intros but the hook is very solid and sets the vibe of the album up well
Suicide Doors - best Rage track on the album, pure energy, I love Early 20 Rager but this song fits that song title much better
Aye - IMO might be the worst on the album, tho I may be poisoned to have expect more from the snippet of the intro. Trav needs to stop featuring on songs if hes gonna come like this, completely skippable
Crush Em - really feels like an earlier era Uzi song with the beat but beat and verses are very good, a nice rebound from Aye
Amped - another solid Rage track, not much more to say
x2 - Can't believe this was recorded a couple weeks ago and it sounds this polished. Love the vibe, hilarious URU diss, beat is infectious, interested to hear Uzi collab with Ken and Lonely in the future
Died and Came Back - this feels like the first real Uzi song of the album, love the beat and verses, just great all around
Spin Again - Short and Sweet, love the beat, a nice lil break before the album takes a bit of a left turn
That Fiya - I felt similar to that of the song Sauske where I didnt fw it on original listen but it immediately grew on me, baby voice Uzi is back!
I Gotta - This shoulda been a bonus track, out of all the 2020 December live songs to make it always felt this one was like middle of the pack and is definitely a bit underwhelming here
Endless Fashion - Hilarious, I know Bebe Rhexa just did a remix of Blue last year but I love the Eiffel 65 song so this is a hit for me (the MAGA line is so 2010 its painful but good in a nostalgic way), Uzi was really flowin on it
Mama, I'm Sorry - A real vibe, sounded great from the snippet and it met expectations, love Uzis weirder vibes that are more out of his pocket
All Alone - Sounds like another classic Uzi style track, really enjoy it all around
Nakamura - Where the album starts taking the turn, what an interesting take on Nakamuras theme, really love these nostalgic references with Uzis own spin on it
JWR - everyone know it, great jersey club jawn, doesnt feel stale to me yet so I'm still enjoying it a ton
Fire Alarm - unhinged, really woulda loved to be in the room when they were making this one, absolutely the most experimental track on the project, gonna be an insane track to listen to at parties
CS - yeah this is so left field honestly, I love the OG SOAD song and I'm not really sure Uzi added anything to that version that transforms it but that muffled "IWANTEDTOO" is probably the funniest moment of the album
Werewolf - people are saying this sounds straight outta the late 00s and yeah I'd agree definitely has a transformers end credits type of vibe, love Oli and BMTH on here, so glad those two are collabing such an interesting pairing
Pluto to Mars - we basically heard this whole thing on his Live, just a great well structured song, was one of my most anticipated from the 2020 live and just another classic Uzi bop
Patience - Uzi and slow tracks mix real well, first major break song of the album, Don Toliver wasnt too bad with his additions dont normally care for him, first real mentions of his Rehab which was surprising to hear about
Days Come and Go - Album ending off on some real strong Uzi vibes, reminds me a ton of LIR and LIR2 where he gets a little more introspective and lays out whats going on in his life, beat is so pretty, feels like a closer song ngl but we keep pushing
Rehab - amazing, Uzi really putting his life out there to the public like this, so sincere its like Black Queen just another great jam for the album
The End - definitely feels like a credit sequence to an anime, what a strange collab but think it goes over well honestly, with how he normally has his hits be his outro songs this was a nice break from the formula
Zoom - its on streaming finally! surprised this never dropped on LIR2 but glad it made its way on here as a bonus although why is the AM version censored the YT one isnt lmao
Of Course - another classic, been listening to it for years and will continue to for many more
Shardai - feeling a bit mixed on this one, as the REAL final track of the list I think there probably were better songs to put here (this feels more like a first 8 songs on the album vibe / could have slotted this for Aye and would have been preferred) but for what it is its not half bad
BONUS - Pass It w/ Carti - really enjoy this collab although it does kinda sound like Uzi hopped on a WLR leftover, still Cartis verse is great and the beat switch when Uzi came on was Groovy
Album is fire as f***. But mannnnnn SPIN AGAIN IS SUMN ELSE. I just be shaking the f*** outta my dreads to this lmao

I like a ton of songs on this album.
But it’s a bit weird saying the album with the garbage SOAD cover and the Nikki song is one of my fav albums of the year. They’re such stains, it’s embarrassing.
I been trying to let it marinate thers some really good songs on here and there's some songs that are not really my taste for how long we waited idk I'm have to sit with this u can't really judge a
Album in a couple days
I hear what y’all saying about the album and somewhat feel that way
too
but im on my 2nd playthrough and i can confirm that endless fashion is the first miss in the first 1-12 track run
it is scattershot and unfocused
it is overly long and has some misfire ideas..
but i like that this doesn’t have a name like his other albums
its a tape and its in the title and when seen that way, even the number of tracks isn’t an issue.
also.. I know the covers of other songs is also an issue alot of you had, Endless Fashion is horrible to me but “mama i’m sorry” is so goood i’m sorryy..
Crush em is Kinda a sequel to Myron the way he goes complete Myron on the flow at one point. Crazy Easter eggs to be found.
sorry for sounding ignorant but can you explain “Myron”
Aye is lit asf Stop worrying about Trav and let that nigga be the virtual instrument that he is beat is f***ing crazy and Uzi sliddddd
To this day I do not know how 20 MINS ended up as a bonus on LIR2 it’s been one of Uzis most streamed songs ever and was clearly put together so well (I remember Lyle told us on the OG KTT he spent months getting that track perfect). Wonder if it had dropped on the original release of it would have even overtook The Way Life Goes. Still thankful we ended up getting it but was clearly a cut above the other bonus songs too

LIR2 has kinda dropped on my favorite Uzi projects list (prefer the first one now which is something I never thought I would) but 20 Min is perfect. Like that’s a Top 10 Uzi song for sure
