Tupac left home too before being famous
Also had a mother who battled d*** addiction
Still made dear mama
The difference.
F*** that if anyone in your family does you dirty dont let these dumbasses convince you youre always obligated to help no matter what
Most of the people saying it wouldn't even do it
The difference.
The difference that not every single person is the same?
Woah, deep...
lol we don't even know her. for all we know she's a piece of s***. not everyone who gives birth is a good parent
I can’t really say what I want because mfs be trying to 1 up people but you right, everyone isn’t a good parent. It just comes down to how your heart is set up. Despite conflicts in the family I never been the type to move like that, if they need help I always still been there to help when needed. I probably came off as rude because I was stuck in my own way of thinking when it comes to family and I apologize to anyone I offended. It’s just a touchy situation for me but I shouldn’t have came in hot, that’s my bad.
The difference.
wow, they have 2 similarities, there must be no nuance past that! exact same situations!
Did the mother ask to be born in whatever situation she became an addict in?
A mother's (especially from certain socio-economic backgrounds) experience isn't as easy as
"she chose to have that child so there's that"
the point of the homeless shelter was adressing the act of charity
A charitable act towards strangers doesn't require a background check of the person nor does it require introspection about how one feels about said person, you just do it based of of the feeling you wanted to help someone.
My point is when you're confronted with family who needs help - you just do it (if you can and it isn't putting yourself in danger etc)
I don't agree with "getting back" at your parents" in such a way - I don't think it has helped anyone in the history of life (not even the child) but what do I know lol
I commend lil nas x for trying at least
Being an addict doesn't excuse your neglect the moment she had children her respnsilties changed and she accepted a role in society.
She gave up on that role and forfeited responsibility for her children and Nas x atleast tried inspite of that.
The difference that not every single person is the same?

I don‘t care how "bad" the relationship with my mom is I will never leave her homeless in the street
I don‘t care how "bad" the relationship with my mom is I will never leave her homeless in the street
I'm happy you think that way
I don‘t care how "bad" the relationship with my mom is I will never leave her homeless in the street
that’s your relationship with your mom, and you see her through the lens of being your mom
LNX doesn’t have your mom
how privileged of you to speak like no matter what the situation, no matter what the abuse is, you’d be there for your mom, especially when LNX has paid for his mother’s rehab & she keeps running away
If you know addicts then you know they work
Lil Nas probably got her a house down the road and she’s still out there begging or maybe she doesn’t want any of his ”gay money”. Idk but never think you know everything based off 1 video.
I don‘t care how "bad" the relationship with my mom is I will never leave her homeless in the street
Thats your Mom not his
change the title back to that lie & it’s a mute @op

if your mom hurts your kids are you still rocking with her?

He aint privileged he just built differently

When did he say he payed for her rehab
He aint privileged he just built differently
dude has the privilege of viewing that situation as a hypothetical, not as real life
Thank you fam. You definitely didn't come across as insensitive at all believe me, I know it's hard to sense tone and demeanor through text so it's all good! Also just wanted to give a little backstory so it didn't seem like I was talking from a place of nowhere.
I definitely agree that she shouldn't be homeless, she should at least be in some sort of group home or some kind of shelter because you're absolutely right it's just not a good look on Lil Nas X to have his mother begging for money.
I completely forgot about these videos Nas X made a while back on TikTok, but essentially they're little "life story" clips where he talks about his rise to fame. He mentions how as soon as OTR money started coming in, he paid for his mom to go through rehab but it failed (he didn't go into specifics, just that she "wasn't doing well")
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5c3LIu-zXY!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDh46mpy3H0So he has definitely tried to help her out before
dude has the privilege of viewing that situation as a hypothetical, not as real life
Ur right, that doesnt change the fact there are some people who would still help their mother if in the same situation
I won’t
“where did he say he paid for her rehab” it was literally on page 1 & you responded to it
No she didn't but that wasn't his problem and still isn't and she wouldn't need his charity if she assumed responsibility when she had him.
Love is earned, forgiveness is earned and imo it isn't on the abused and neglected especially children to forgive unless it's something they need personally.
It isn't about getting back it's about allowing yourself to live a life free from the trauma you were tormented by as a child. People have a right to wanna be free from people who hurt them in the past.
Some people think Tina shoulda forgave Ike before he died personally to me I say

"Love is earned,forgiveness is earned"
I agree but you don't need to love someone to help them out assuming yore fully capable of doing so
"and imo it isn't on the abused and neglected especially children to forgive"
It actually is, your pet rock isn't gonna forgive your abusive parent for you - no one has to forgive but it's their responsibility to do so or not - and most importantly deal with the consequences of doing so/or not
"unless it's something they need personally."
"It isn't about getting back it's about allowing yourself to live a life free from the trauma you were tormented by as a child.: People have a right to wanna be free from people who hurt them in the past."
They do! I think I mentioned earlier on that they no one has to be involved in any shape or form with someone who abused them and is most likely planning doing it again but
I also don't think that fleeing/escaping ones problem/trauma is being free from it
it can open the door to other prisons such as... You guessed it.... Substance abuse/addiction (but that's a whole other convo)
"Some people think Tina shoulda forgave Ike before he died personally to me I say"
Lol it's okay to say f*** him-he abused her with no remorse,
Idk if lil nas x mom feels apologetic about being an neglectful, addict so idk if it's best for him to forgive her
That being said - I think we should encourage them to push to have a better relationship - cutting of everyone sounds cute until you're left there with your unresolved trauma, bitterness, inability to bond with new people and no one from the past...
Also I totally undersand not wanting to be around someone who clearly is still abusive - I don't think it's safe to assume his mom is still abusive - besides still being an addict
I can’t really say what I want because mfs be trying to 1 up people but you right, everyone isn’t a good parent. It just comes down to how your heart is set up. Despite conflicts in the family I never been the type to move like that, if they need help I always still been there to help when needed. It's s tough one man
Like DMX had an abusive ass upbringing beyond belief vbut it seems like he still had s relationship with his mom and even said he forgave her
but I think everyone would agree that if he'd decided she was dead to him he would've been well within his rights to leave her in the dust
