Ion know who bro is. But from the three songs I just listened to from him his music sucks ass. Bro like a Great Value Key! or Father.
Yeah I ain’t listening to his s*** either.
Because these conversations go on everyday constantly all over the world, they KNOW why it’s transphobic, and even when it’s explained to them they still dig their feet in further and solidify how they feel. These arguments aren’t f***ing new everyone has had them at this point. This is literally happening in this thread. Just look at how people are reacting to a trans person making a case for themself.
i don't agree most people "know" why that's transphobic. i didn't even understand what the argument was until i asked about it. yes some people are acting in bad faith but you can't assume everyone is
Yall want people to conform to your belief system so bad. The world is a big f***ing place.
y’all be saying you’re allies but your hot takes tell me you’ve never spent more than 20 minutes in the same room with a queer/trans person
nice

They know on a base level that hating trans people and seeing it as wrong is “phobic” even if that specific language isn’t used. It’s not bad faith it’s general reality. Come on, you should actually be smarter than this
Wtf are you talking about LMAO
What do you think I mean by "you" in the post you are quoting of mine?
just as a recommendation: If you’re not queer or trans and someone from that community let’s you know some of your viewpoints are harmful
You should probably listen to the dialogue and feedback rather than double down
Otherwise, you’re just as bad as those who outright hate us.
And they did. So now what? Is your mind changed from “do she got a d***” to now you’re fully accepting of trans people? A KTT explanation changed your worldview? Be real
man what
I have tried to keep my personal beliefs out of any of my post itt. My main point of contention was with tired, and his rhetoric. I do not agree or support what Adam & the trans woman who outed Housephone did at all. I feel like that was clear. But again the way yall argue, if I'm not in complete compliance = homophobic, transphobic

I understand that, I don’t understand what you’re trying to say though
I understand that, I don’t understand what you’re trying to say though
I'm saying nothing in my post says that trans people need to explain their existence to every transphobic person. My post is pointed at people who advocate for trans rights but only do so by offering slogans or platitudes.

These issues are not as widespread as people believe, nor are people remotely as educated as they think they are on the subject.

So if you agree with me
How do you also NOT agree with me ?

I literally quoted where you said that though. You were talking to a trans person when you said that, so why would it have to do with cis people?
They know on a base level that hating trans people and seeing it as wrong is “phobic” even if that specific language isn’t used. It’s not bad faith it’s general reality. Come on, you should actually be smarter than this
I'm not denying that there are people responding who are genuinely transphobic who are/were in the thread. I'm saying that it was unclear initially what was actually being claimed and that I don't think it's fair to write off the entirety of hat as misattributed bigotry. Morality aside this stuff is simply not common knowledge. Like there are still people far and wide who don't understand why racist racial stereotypes are harmful and thats been an ongoing discussion for decades, i just don't agree you can make the assumption everyone who isn't pre-educated on this stuff is simply transphobic. Especially because who knows what country they're from? There's people here from all over the world. This stuff is not globally available education-wise.
These issues are not as widespread as people believe, nor are people remotely as educated as they think they are on the subject.
I do think the issues are widespread knowledge, especially due to hateful people spreading wild misconceptions, which takes up the room of understanding conceptions, but true understanding of the subject is minimal, even among pro-* advocates who are just doing it on obligation of partisan lines without knowing why it is right
we must know why things are right as much as we know why things are wrong
So if you agree with me
How do you also NOT agree with me ?
I have several post explaining why I disagreed with your approach...
I think it’s ridiculous that a member of the community has to explain themselves in this very thread
I literally quoted where you said that though. You were talking to a trans person when you said that, so why would it have to do with cis people?
1. It is very clear I am referring to the advocates who rest on slogans.
2. Even if that wasn't clear, I clarified that position to you at least twice.
3. Am I supposed to have a trans radar that shows me what users are trans?
Can I get an apology now for you calling me stupid so many times when you were the only person who misunderstood that post?
I have several post explaining why I disagreed with your approach...
So based on the logic itt you're transphobic or just as bad as one.
So based on the logic itt you're transphobic or just as bad as one.
by dismissing members of the community directly bc you don’t think what you’re saying is homophobic/transphobic, yeah lmao it is just as bad
You’re basically saying to me, “ugh but I’m an ally!! I can’t be wrong!!”

It's widespread in the general sense of yea people are aware of the existence of trans people, but overwhelming majority have never, and probably will never interact with a trans person in their lifetime. a lot of people are ignorant to their issues, and will cling to religious reasons as to why they're against it despite them not attending Mass or friday Mosque in a decade.
These issues are not as widespread as people believe, nor are people remotely as educated as they think they are on the subject.
what issues? i havent been following your side of the argument tbh, i was talking about something completely diff

They are though? Same way those people are racist? It doesn’t explicitly mean they’re horrible people and can’t be educated or don’t want to be, it’s just what it is, they are not accepting of trans people and do not like them. That’s the word that’s used
