I have listened to JID’s album, front to back, at least 10 times.
I hear so much praise & I get it, flow, wordplay, etc, but, to me, he didn’t say anything..

I'm talking about majority of his content is based off of a savior's complex. Yes, his actions are sprinkled in but he's not prolific enough as an artist, (with released material) to cover a wide ranging of topics and/or real time issues, they aren't the savior's complex

Experiment626when it comes to Kendrick I simply don’t agree. He’s been known to be a very potent songwriter & concept artist his whole career
He’s one of the few artist that blew up off raw talent & NOT from gimmicks
I mean songs off his latest album shows how skilled he is like Father Time, Count Me Out, Mother I Sober
what’s funny is on those songs you mentioned and on the whole album, kendrick has a concept for each song and he never strays away from it. literally every bar matters. i hope y’all realize these niggas don’t know what they talking about lmao
