Two different vibes for me, DAMN has a core list of tracks that are safe to play in pretty much any situation and they are timeless slappers imo.
But this new album’s core is an almost intimidating introspective vibe with some slappers thrown on the ends
Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers

Not sure where you think I implied Pitchfork is one person. I stated that as an outlet (a media outlet made up of "critics") they were off-base with this review/score, especially when compared to how they rated his previous album.
how can it be off-base, when the base is comprised of opinion? on the average, the pitchfork employees at this current time simply liked it a little less than the employees liked DAMN. in 2017. it's really simple to me like i just don't really get it. but f*** it lol
Tbh idc what the critics say lol, so far I think this easily tops DAMN and S80 for me already and time will tell how it lives up to GKMC + TPAB but it's in contention

Who do people value more? Him or Pitchfork?
Watch him give this a 7 or something though.

The highs on this album are great but the lows are maybe some of the worst from Kendrick imo
