I got it second to last. Slightly above TPAB right now.
If nothing sticks like āAlrightā it might be bottom juice tho
TPAB as the bottom Kendrick album
love how kendrick albums have drill 808s in some songs and then goes full jazz drums in the next song
oklama built different
This is the guy who mixed this album

Same guy whose been mixing hip hop releases since 05 or before
He mixed the last 2 pusha albums, some of the old Kanye stuff iirc, and Iām sure more if you dig into it
This is why we love Monte. Stole his entire sound but still praises the track.
https://twitter.com/montebooker/status/1525132494143488000Sounded like a monte influenced beat fs but I wouldnāt say they took his whole sound
N95 and Purple Hearts only songs I'll be skipping in the future
N95 goes crazy wdym
Can you elaborate? Iāve been seeing this take float around for the last few pages and I want some insight lol
Thereās a fringe of people who hear TPAB and feel it sounds contrived, like he was focused on trying to make a classic album, that it didnāt feel authentic . That itās half a tribe called quest and half Outkast with a love letter to 2pac. I great concepts just not the execution.
Every reason Iāve heard why tpab is great is what I see in this new album so far and everyone who says itās contrived and missed on the experimental mark is how I feel about tpab lol.
Mfs I went to school with saying how fire We Cry Together is
song is good to me but Iām just surprised itās whatās niggas gravitating towards lol

When you experiment with sounds you add it to your palette
Instead of dropping the same album for years
N95 goes crazy wdym
I dont fw it
it's decent, but on par with the rest of the album
Sounded like a monte influenced beat fs but I wouldnāt say they took his whole sound
Itās produced by Sounwave and Boi1nda. Show me any of their beats that resemble this one more than any Monte beat. If you canāt I think that suffices as jacking

He mixed for so many pop artists and rappers, like everyone from Kanye to Cudi to Mac Miller to Future to Nas
baby keem wrote die hard
Nah but I know for sure Kendrick wrote all of Keems s*** on the album

Interesting lolol itās crazy cuz TPAB is my fave but I like this new one too but idek if I can directly compare the two yet
Man this first half of this album through me off until it picked back up around Rich Spirit then threw me right back off with We Cry Together then picked back up in the 2nd disc
Disc 2 is the better part of this album for sure
Kodak did his thing on here, especially with the interlude.
Some of the lyrics on here, mightāve been what Daylyt was talking about.
But overall for a 1st listen, this was a nice album, nothing too crazy.
Need we cry together to be the NBA playoffs official song
F*** YOU B****
