just finished my first listen.
pretty good, 8/10 first listen probably.
was underwhelmed at the end of disc 1 but after finishing the whole thing (i definitely preferred disc 2) im satisfied.
highlights are father time, count me out, auntie diaries, and mother I sober. mirror is a great outro, too.
it's probably the first kendrick album where i feel like i'm seeing the "real" him throughout the whole thing. i feel like he created a more fictionalized version of himself in gkmc that he's for the most part been rolling with since (though the "real" him would come out occasionally like in u).
if i had to rank it in his discog rn it'd be last but thats not solidified and its not a glaring sore spot in his discog or anything.

yeah maybe that one but that doesnt scream top 10 hit, Zay, SZA and 6lack have tons of those type of songs and they werent hits either
