Rich Spirit sound like a DJ mustard beat
yep i got reminded of MAGIC by Vince & Mustard somewhat
thats a key thing in this
he puts out tpab
people misinterpret the album as him bigging up himself as some james baldwin ass rapper who thinks he's god's gift
when he's always been a guy who understands that his own biases and flaws are present
being misunderstood and misrepresented is a really soul-crushing thing (although he's to blame at least in part for writing lyrics such a vague and ambiguous way lol)
Like idk how folks hear Wesley’s Theory, U, for sale, these walls, How Much A Dollar Cost?, and think he’s taking that position lmaooo
bad choice from kendrick honestly, drake and cole are much better introspective rappers than him, this s*** pales next to the best introspective songs by them
Basic ass take
When that Mr Morale and the Big Steppers comes on at the function

Those hoes lookin pretty happy
Name a drake song more introspective than mother i sober
30 for 30 Freestyle out now
I agree! haha
Ye's first 5 are all amazing "MBDTF" is my favorite album oat.
But Kendrick has 2 masterpieces (imo)
I don't turn to them as much as I do with "MBDTF" cause that album's approachable & has replay value.
But from themes, story telling, etc. Kendrick's unfuckwitable.
He's easily top 5 all time after this.
I feel you. Kendrick is a worthy debate. Sometimes niggas bring up artist wit Ye that’s ridiculous
I just feel like an album is masterpiece when it’s all encompassing. Morale remains to be seen. Just came out. But my main issue wit TPAB is it’s way too much of a mood album. I can’t just thrown it on in any environment. I personally can’t call something a masterpiece or classic if I have stipulations to listen to 95% of it.
Outside of Mortal Man a good chunk of TPAB is Kendrick talking down on himself
am I bugging for hearing this???????
I actually feel like he painted himself as a savior/messiah type figure more on Untitled 1, The Heart 4 and the Heart 3 ("Will you let hip hop die on GKMC release date")
But he's also been pointing out his flaws and saying he's not perfect throughout his career, so I get both sides fr

Yea but people keep bringing up TPAB as proof of this messiah complex thing
I mean there's that side to the album too ofc, but then theres the other side where he does take on the role of somewhat a savior. These lyrics on mortal sums up both sides
"Let these words be your Earth and moon, you consume every message
As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression"
True but again he says let room for mistakes and depression so it shows he never pretended to be a perfect figure either m, but I see your point

Yeah, he has done both throughout his career. I think he leaned into the whole savior thing because it got him awards etc
This album made me realize Kendrick has no knowledge in politics
theres like 1 or 2 political lines total
I wouldn’t wanna answer that random ass question either
Esp booted. It’s either I give the response my all or nothing at all
Yeah like nigga we at the BET awards and I am off an assortment of d**** in my hardest outfit
The reporter prolly wanted to go viral or sumn, ask Jay Z that question leave me alone
This album made me realize Kendrick has no knowledge in politics
He’s sure got my vote
wild seeing people praise kendrick for the trans song and then shut down trans people critiquing it at the same time
