denzel killed it like always
low 6
I'm high af, name me a movie RIGHT now to watch.
I will ignore any that I have seen. Want to see something I haven't seen yet.
I'm rewatching American Hustle for the first time.
This movie is great.
The whole scene with Bradley Cooper and Louis C.K. after he beat his ass
"AND THAT'S THE END OF THE STORY! He fell through the ice and died!"
The gentlemen. Dope as phu-uc. Solid 8
The scenes with Mathew and the score reminded me of Kick-Ass and X-Men First Class.
Really loved those scenes. Score was great.
GOAT film
10/10
This is Kubrick level or even better.
I watched this after your extreme praise and basically do agree, so props for calling it w this one (The Cook, The Thief, His Wife & Her Lover). I mean, I didn’t love the villain (thought his antics were a tad tedious) but the way the movie played w food, sex, and violence was very interesting and occasionally hilarious. This is a very black comedy. The inventive use of books near the end is suuuuuper f***ed up (but also makes you think)

The bathroom scenes and lights
Writing in this film was so good and it made for some interesting dialogue and unusual traits in the characters too. Like the books for example. There's also this question raised about the world's villains and their favourite dishes; found that to be a great addition to the themes.
Peter Greenway takes the food in his films v serious indeed. So happy u liked it too, visually stunning film!
Quebec indie films gotta be my favorite mini genre rn
Something about the north american backdrop w the classic french/euro indie influences does smth to me
Plus i live their now and it helps me w their french accent lol
Moy laskovyy i nezhnyy zver AKA The Shooting Party (1978) by Emil Loteanu
interesting russian period piece. 7/10

You being way too generous with The Nun and The Curse of La Llorona ratings...
