Lmao he lame as f*** I agree, but in terms of what the movie is going for, he works, doesn't he? Patrick Bateman is just as corny if not more tbh

Robert Prosky as Leo evokes pure menace, and Mann shoots him in such a way that he becomes a horrific figure. Caan is solid and hitting the right beats. There are some great shots, but pacing and characters are lacking. I think Tuesday Weld is pretty bad here, and while the performances from the supporting characters are good, they lack characterization. I wish there were less repetitive shots, and more drama, but its a Mann picture so that's on me.

Mann doesn't seem to be my type of director, it feels like he's inspired by the Melville thrillers but those don't really hold my interest, my problems more with thrillers in general I think, they put underdeveloped characters in outlandish scenarios and expect that to be enough. But I may be talking out of my ass here

How the hell is Patrick Bateman an alpha ☠️, he loathes himself to a hilarious degree, he lacks self control…he has some weird mental breakdown even though he has no conscious.. he’s clearly weak minded. Lou is confident in himself, persuades people to get what he wants, at least has a charismatic ‘front’ ..by the of end the movie he has a whole team of workers to manipulate
