Just watched Promising Young Woman

why is this movie rated so highly?

it decent but it’s nothing spectacular

it’s a revenge movie filled with 100% stereotypes

like the writers just took the most basic s*** you could stereotype and put it in a movie

it’s not a horrible movie by any means but it’s mad…. basic

It’s basically 21st century (Letterboxd) critic bait

if y'all haven't heard of Werewolves Within, its a new comedy that came out recently. Stars Sam Richardson from Detroiters and Milana Vayntrub from those AT&T commercials.

Pretty funny watch. In theaters now but I think it'll hit some kind of streaming service soon-ish.

Something's Gotta Give

watched this on Hulu. seen it before a while ago. very solid rom-com, maybe a top 10 of all time for me. jack and diane keaton are great, plus keanu, amanda peet and frances mcdormand in supporting roles.... real solid cast.

I give this a 7/10 overall but a 8.5/10 as a romcom
