ALL THE LEAVES ARE BROOOOWN
Strongly recommended for fans of Nights of Cabiria- Mia Farrow’s presence is very reminiscent of Giulietta Masina, and the general themes and contexts for both films are quite similar. Just shift Fellini’s love for theater to the movies

she’s so good in it! also she covered dreams by the cranberries for the soundtrack

yea, this trilogy just ain't for me. I like Refn and you can see him start to develop his style here, but this was basically just an hour and a half of trashy European cokeheads f***ing their lives up. none of the characters were interesting or likeable. Mads was good in this but like the first one, I just kept waiting for the story to get crazier and it never did. got the third one downloaded, but don't think I'll watch it.

Just saw Phantom thread, probably 4/5. Bit slow initially but very pretty film. Really enjoyed when it all came together

I remember the 3rd one is pretty crazy so might be worth checking it out even to just complete the trilogy
