Been super into black indie film scene
There’s a bunch of new directors making diverse expiremental s*** that’s more than the “stereotypical” stuff, very exciting
This movie for example i give a 6.9/10 but the directors style was so apparent even with this being a debut it’s just obvious/inevitable that she’ll drop a classic next

The orphanage 5/10. Another highly rated movie I'm disappointed by. Wasn't scare at all or at least even suspenseful. The score was unsuited for the atmosphere of the film. The plot was good but it could have been executed better

Does are some of the ones I checked recently

the story kind of bored me as I thought it might but Kubrick's direction and attention to detail still made this a fascinating watch. amazes me how he can switch genres and still leave his singular touch and create masterpieces. truly the GOAT
9/10

8/10
Great thriller film. Aneesh Chaganty does it again
Highly recommend watching... acting by Sarah Paulson and Kiera Allen was great

A very beautiful & wholesome movie about life. The ending had me in tears.
