There’s this new movie called Monster Hunters. I watched it thinking it was going to be this
!https://youtu.be/zc1qwginrWUIt’s not. So everyone be careful. Monster Hunters with and S is absolutely trash.
Obviously they are counting on the confusion. I kept wondering when Mila and her crew were going to show up but once it was certain they weren’t, I was too deep into the movie and I couldn’t take my eyes off the trainwreck. At least it’s a short movie
saw the Monster Hunters trailer and it looked like total ass
La grande bellezza (the Great Beauty) by Sorrentino
One of the most stunning movies I've seen, instant favorite.

Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance

cot damn does Korea have some sick and twisted movie directors. I only saw Oldboy a long time ago so figured I should check out the rest of the trilogy. this was good and very well shot and edited but still a bit of a hard watch. interesting take on the revenge trope as I wasn't sure who I was really rooting for. made me appreciate The Handmaiden even more, which really seems like Chan Wook in his top form.
7/10
Just watched Lupin III: The First; it was a fun ride with enjoyable characters (though the narrative was a little thin), and the animation was gorgeous. Hope it gets a sequel.
What are these tampons for

lemme guess.. your fav scene was this one

that s*** made no sense in the context of the movie. it's like the director had that idea or fantasy and wrote it in lol. true friendship tho, I'll give them that

Park's masterpiece
Sympathy for Lady Vengeance

this was good too. thought the middle lagged a bit but the ending was very strong. Park Chan Wook portrays really interesting characters but I think I prefer his films where children aren't kidnapped, tortured, and murdered.
7/10
haven't seen all his work but I'd rank what I've seen from Chan Wook like:
1. The Handmaiden
2. Oldboy
3. Stoker (gotta revisit this but I remember enjoying it a lot)
4. Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance
5. Sympathy for Lady Vengeance
thinking of checking out his series The Little Drummer Girl. anybody seen that and would recommend it?
