Color Out of Space

perfect example of a movie with tone problems. did a good job at building anxiety at the start but once it had to turn it up a notch it was ruined by poor writing and acting. nicolas cage is the last actor I would have chosen for this role. he was giving a Vampire's Kiss performance and I couldn't take the movie serious with his acting. if they leaned into that and made the movie more fun, maybe it could have worked but it became laughably bad. the only saving grace were the visuals. the colors they used and special effects were very well done
