Just watched a movie called Beautiful Girls
The movie was enjoyable. It’s an ensemble movie from the 90s with a pretty good cast. But man, one of the subplots has a dude that’s nearly 30 crushing on 13 year old Natalie Portman
Like he talks about wanting to wait on her to turn 18 so he can be with her and they like discuss dating and stuff lmao some real grooming s*** going on here
Then at the end he kisses her on the cheek
And the movie tries to make it like a cute relationship which is just offputting
Jerry Maguire - 9/10
S*** was waaaay funnier than I expected. Always heard about it but never really thought it would be that good. I loved it. The show me the money scene had me in tears
When Harry Met Sally - 8/10
Also a lot funnier than I expected, Billy Crystal is an icon. The o***** scene is obviously iconic but in the context of the movie it’s even funnier
Heartbreak Kid - 6/10
Really dumb movie, and a kinda pale imitation of Something about Mary. However, I love the way the Farrelly brothers just keep adding more and more ridiculous pieces to scenarios until they boil over into the most awkward situations. The scene where he’s trying to break up with her is the most hectic scene of all time
There’s Something about Mary - 9/10
So many iconic moments in this movie. D***ging the dog, the hair gel, the zipper. It does the same chaotic scenarios as the heartbreak kid but it’s stronger here. The dialogue is also A1. I’ve seen this one a while back but rewatching it still felt fresh. If you haven’t seen it or haven’t seen it in a while, get on it

Yeah I’ve never seen the original, it’s good? I mean I know it’s a classic but is it actually still funny lol

5/5
This was fantastic. I loved it. And R.Patt really got his whole s*** for Good Time from Vincent Gallo in this, huh?

Yea its funny, its got more of a dry humor vibe. If you like Curb Your Enthusiasm its right up your alley.

Top 3 American debut of the 90's right here, Gallo is a true original who does everything on his own terms with no apologies :datass:

Tbh, I watched this bc of your avi. Hadn’t heard of it before and absolutely loved it.
Gonna go through the rest of Gallo’s filmog asap
Top 5 movie for me, what'd you think about the ending?
The ending works for the movie imo, the first time you watch it your like
.. What I really dig is the noir vibe and Fincher's trademark cold and calculated shots. Michael Douglas was also a great choice for the role.

One of the worst movies I've ever see tbh
Damn. I enjoyed it for what it is.
And Samara is hot. She even looked like Margot in some scenes.
Just watched Drive
Started watching that movie based off the recommendations I’ve heard about it and ngl the movie surpassed my expectations. Some of the scenes were crazy though, cuz beforehand I thought the movie was going to be some generic driving and shooting candy and furious type of s***. The ending was interesting too.
I’ll give it 8.5/10

I tried as well but the movie being a typical damsel in distress flick w/ a majority of the deaths coming in the last like fifiteen minutes of the movie was terrible IMO

That opening chase scene
When Nightcall comes in
Gosling's fits
As good as it gets 7/10. Why do I feel Jack Nicholson (overrated btw) wasn't first choice for this. The actress got a long forehead to

They really killed the intro of this movie, oh man Nightcall was the perfect track
His drip was too dope lol

Not a big fan of the ending, but I kinda liked the rest.

Been meaning to watch this, as it's sampled at the start of my fav Blu album: Her Favorite Colo(u)r. Will make it next up, good looks (Y)
Also whoever was talking about Perfect Blue in here: f*** you lmao. I haven't even had any traumatic sexual experiences and I felt violated just watching that scene.

Losing Ground — Kathleen Collins
