I think the mix is better actually it drags on for a minute in the intro once the organ chords settles in but the way it layers everything out is incredible
I actually am a big fan of White like everyone else but I also rank Pacific Faydream among their best lol I just think ppl are biased on what a Weezer song should be and therefor hate either way when the songwriting is great through out on this one
unlike Black where I would agree with you
Yeah the layering is wild on that mix tho the intro is a bit much to have it fully replace the mix off of Surf's Up in my mind
And PD had some gems, it was different but not in a Raditude way where different meant bad, Pacific Daydream had it's moments and I really should probably revisit it because I remember not minding it at all
Indie classic for many. I've come back to it many times over the years but it's never quite clicked for me.
I have warmed up to it over more re-listens but man Win Butler cannot sing. He just sucks all the atmosphere out of every song
6.5/10
Don't think it's a coincedence that my favorite part of the album are the final 3 tracks where Regine takes lead vocals for two of them
I love Win's vocals so much, vocal talent means nothing to me as long as they're emotive to make up for it
Kinda in the same boat where I legit thought it was like 4 on first listens but every time I went back the genius kept revealing itself more and even a song like Tunnels doesn't do anything for you?
Just finished Look into My Teardrops by Conway Twitty. Fantastic record, truly gets the emotions stirring.

Timeless sound, great variety of genres, superb features
9/10
Touch is so underrated. One of my all time faves

Paul Wiliams vocals and that overemotional 80's vibe

Crazy how these guys never got bigger. Their most recent album was probably their last chance but it flopped hard. Shame cause those singles were quite good
Dark Lanes Demo Tapes by Drake: only kept Deep Pockets & Chicago Freestyle 3/10
Waters by Loor (former Alt-J member): (electronic) Album mid but Warm, Nightland and Waters are keepers 6/10
Rave Til Dawn EP by Asquith: (electronic) 6/10
Son Of Sun EP by Guedra Guedra (electronic with afro beat and arabic samples): didn’t know what to expect but I liked it. Got some Bonobo vibes. 6/10
Can’t even remember. Would be drake but haven’t properly listened.
Last proper one was the spin off of SOB x RBE that came out recently. Was cool but beats were terrible
8/10 this is great, i can see this album influence bleeding into last two charli songs she has made.
9.5/10 this for me is the definitive new order album i have heard so far
