Been listening to Flying Lotus a lot lately, 1983 especially. I remember having listened to the album for the first time in the early 2010s when I was just starting to get in to Flylo; I didn’t really care for it at the time (probably because I was playing it over s***ty laptop speakers), and I never gave it another chance after that.

For whatever reason, I felt the urge to put this specific album on recently and it clicked with me. These spacey, hypnotic, fuzzed out beats are hitting me completely differently than they did years ago. It’s so interesting how taste changes over time and how your perception of something can flip a complete 180 degrees.
