You gotta spin Morning After back some of the highs are incredible but I do love the varied sounds on this new album
Definitely will.
dvsn really feel like a low key blessing to music.
i did think this was one of their least accessible albums, about everything after this one is more polished
good to see that you liked it though. golden ball was one of my favorite tracks, but i can see why you wouldn’t like it.
for sure it wasn't super accessible haha, took a few listens to really appreciate. i also acknowledge that it could improve if I was to listen a few more times
wait, this is no longer sticked
Anyway,
The way my number of 10s for the year doubled in one day
7.5/10
wouldve been a 8 minus the "bonus tracks" and if tycoon was included in the main section of the album
Pop 2. Charli XCX. 2017 @EuroNymous
Pop 2 by American singer Charli XCX is no ordinary pop record. Here, Charli experiments with different sounds that comes off very nicely. The mixtape sounds like whatever Lady Gaga was doing on "Artpop" than anything Britney Spears released on her first two albums. The features on this tape aren't bad at all. My favorite would have to be Carly Rae Jepsen on the opener "Backseat". I love her vocal delivery over this 80s synth-pop inspired track. Another favorite of mines would be Mykki Blanco on "Femmebot", where he talks his s*** over this trap influenced beat that makes you want to bounce. Overall, this project was an enjoyable listen. My only gripe with this project would be sometimes the production can get a little too left field where it leaves me scratching my head. (Track 10) However, Pop 2 made me interested in hearing more of Charli's discography.
Favorite Tracks: Backseat, Femmebot
Least Favorite Tracks: Track 10

yeah track 10 can be bit grading for first time listener but generally its such great listen i am happy you listened to it and not someone which has heard it 100 times
illmatic. Nas. 1994 @daquan98
Illmatic has been personally fav of mine for many years, and it is always great to give it more listens as it ages gracefully. The album shows why Nas is considered one best MC's of all time. This album paints a picture for me on living a cold winters day in Queens, NY. Without tracks like "Memory Lane (sittin' in the park)," this album would be another hip hop classics album. But listen to the production on this track, it changes the whole thing. The sly ass organ mixed with crisp as hell f***in' drums vary this album from a smooth listen to New York experience during this time.
The real magnum opus of this album is the three-song stretch of NY state of mind, life's a b**** & The world is yours. All possible, some greatest rap songs of all time.
On the NY State of mind, DJ Premier's production is flawless. This is what a boom-bap cypher would sound like on the C train. Nas unspools a two-verse-wonder where he proved that, at eighteen years old, he was the greatest rapper alive. Equal parts caustic, wise, and gangster, his performance here is masterful. Bottom line: this is one of the best rap songs ever made
Life is b**** generally has one best guest verses of all time and debatably out rap prime Nas which is no small feat. The trumpet solo at the ending of the song is excellent also.
The world is yours is the world is yours there is no word to explain how much I love this song, generally its perfect song for me.
I can keep rambling on how great this tape is, but I think anyone who has heard this knows its greatness, a true shining light in the genre, and influenced a generation. I have couple issues with it, but they're so minor that it doesn't detract from the listening experience
10/10
Fav Tracks - The world is yours, life is b****, Ny state of mind, Memory lane (sittin in the park), Represent
Worst Tracks - Halftime if have to choose (for that one line)
which line on Halftime? @EuroNymous
which line on Halftime? @EuroNymous
Versatile, my style switches like a
But not bisexual, I'm an intellectual
i guess in the era was made in it was acceptable but even then nas doesnt even rap the line anymore when he performs halftime, very petty of me to complain through
i cant even say the word i was talking about because ktt blanks it every time i type it in

DOOM-esque / dark album I consider one of the best all around 10-track rap album in the past decade. Hope you like it :)
Richard and Linda Thompson - I Want to See the Bright Lights Tonight (British Folk Rock, 1974) by @RVI
Such a calm and relaxing album. From the first song I knew I’d enjoy it. Any other Richard Thompson album you recommend?
Fav songs: When I get to the border, The Calvary Cross and Down where the drunkards roll.
