i agree that landlords add zero value to society but i dont think the existence of landlords is mutually exclusive with housing for all.

policies like national rent control/increased eviction requirements are more politically feasible and nearly as effective as moonshot plans to "abolish landlords"

To flesh out my argument a bit more you could differentiate between different kinds of property, Owning a home you actually live is fairly different from someone owning an apartment block they rent out.
