It really looks nothing like the originals, they had a film noir/goth vibe but this looks more like a fast & furious sequel.

Honestly Keanu wasn't that great in the OG, he was carried heavily by Laurence Fishburne and Hugo Weaving, both of which are not present here

That's what I'm saying. This looks more like a superhero movie than a neo noir film of the original. The world setting and effects make the original and Morpheus. Yahya doesn't look right as Morpheus

I wouldn't go that far myself. Granted I didn't watch the movie itself, the trailers looked beyond awful

the point isn't to present the same ideas, but to evolve from them.. if they can make the new movie(s) feel less dated then that's a good thing.

Maybe the green colorgrading is replaced by a new filter in a newer Matrix.. we'll have to wait and see how they explain it

The city of New York in the og Matrix movies was based on the years 2000/2010 tops, so its good that this movie looks nothing like it

BTW, Neo's performance is what sold me ultimately (and the great writing ofcourse), his acting is ingrained in my brain... this is legit my fav movie series
