I guess I had my hopes up for this amazing story and it was kinda just meh. I left my living room feeling nothing. And on paper the premise should sound engaging af but I simply did not care for K or decker or Leto or his AI chick. The only character that I felt anything for was the daughter and she was barely in it.
On paper you would think the s*** sounds dope but the storytelling was dry af for me. I felt like it spoke to every cyberpunk fan that like when the story is secondary to aesthetic. (And cyberpunk gotta be my favorite genre at least top 2) They should've taken more notes from Ghost In The Shell Stand Alone Complex.

Visually its a 10. Music and sound 10. Story: its aight i guess.

The anime short they released though was heat. THAT should've gotten more focus.

For Drive it's been so long that I don't even remember the movie or what my complaint was. But I remember thinking the trailer was one movie and when I watched it, it was a different movie. Which I guess isn't a them problem but a me problem. I hadn't seen it more than once and wasn't interested enough to go back.

It’s why I was so disappointed in 2049. 2049 has a lot of problems that resurrections addresses of bringing back character years later rather than many new stories the world still revolves around a character who just wants to die . Star Wars similar

His interviews only made it worse . I think Lana did right move by avoiding interviews over explaining or justifying anything
