lowkey Matrix 4 & Scream 5 the same movie in concept, just slightly different execution plus I don't think Scream movies ever been that divisive

Scream though its always kind of been a "joke" or meta self aware where as Matrix took many by surprise that they took something they take so serious and in any way made it funny. Dark humor combine that with cinematography, budget issues etc

I understand not liking the movie I don't understand people saying "I hope its Lana last film she ruined Matrix we need another director to tackle it and make this not canon"

To me this movie just felt like a slap in the face to the fans. Like Lana didn’t want to make it in the first place but was pressure to do it because she didn’t want another director to direct it. Then goes ahead and directs it anyways just to make fun of the studio for wanting another matrix movie and the state of reboot movies.

She’s probably embarrassed by all the fans trying to cape for it when she knows it’s all a joke

I think part of you are missing some of the pros of the movie and messaging.

Not saying she was dying to make it, but many that dislike it keep reiterating "she just did this to troll and so other directors couldn't". When no part of them had to approve Lana vision, make a Matrix 4 with her approval. They could have easily done it without her and likely made more.

Some of you are acting like WB didn't read the script or know the plot at all before they started filming
