looking back on it this really came and went
Only real music is going to last
Stress
Was about 30-45 more minutes. It is what it is. The funny part is people say it came and went and 2 months later the haters still make clear how much they hated it not only in this thread but across the internet under every post WB does about it
Lol this makes it even better
“WB’s strategy not only ensured that ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ would be a bust at the box office, but it also inflicted serious harm to the entire ‘Matrix’ franchise,” the suit alleges. “There can be no doubt that the abysmal theatrical box office sales figures from ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ dilute the value of this tent pole franchise as a film’s lack of profitability generally prevents studios from investing in additional sequels and derivative films in the near term.”
Village Roadshow also argues that the simultaneous release also facilitated piracy, further cutting into the film’s revenue potential.
The suit states that Warner Bros. made “acceptable accommodations” with the film’s stars — Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss — and with director Lana Wachowski. The suit also states that Warner Bros. came to terms with Legendary, the co-financier of “Dune,” but “shut down negotiations with one of its longest-term relationships” — that is, with Village Roadshow. To date, Village Roadshow has received nothing from the HBO Max release of “The Matrix Resurrections,” the suit states.
Prevent studios from investing in derivative films
True, not on Ktt tho
I am confused on "it really came and went" when the other films that released near it only lasted longer off memes and nostalgia if we being honest

When movies aren't filling the seats theaters are quick to drop it from showings hence it came and went from theaters, that's the angle I was using anyway
It def didn't come and go from ppls minds tho, every end of year worst/most dissapointing/biggest flops list has it in there if not on the thumbnail cuz for whatever reason this movie really skull f***ed ppl
Did not like the movie.
I really did not like the action scenes.
Keanu Reeves hair was also a let down
Much as I love the movie matrix 4 was flopping with or without hbo, woulda maybe been more respectable but even steamers like space jam 2 were able to open number one with a solid opening while on hbo, and considering how much audiences seemed to hate it most of the money it made woulda been on opening weekend, with a huge drop soon to follow
I'm curious to see why this is the only movie of the 91 released on hbo involved in a lawsuit

Because they didn't talk to village roadhouse but talked to lana and kenau carrie

Malignant, thought I was I'm for a generic horror, but midway through it became a fu king Kung fu action movie
Those who wish me dead was trash, stick figure piece of paper angelina jolie trying to pull off being a tough marine type chick was embarassing
