lana was either gonna have some randy film it and it be awful and f*** up WB paycheck
or
lana makes the movie herself to spite WB, which would then self sabotage the franchise and her directing as we know it. Extremely genius really..
Not a huge Matrix fan like that but I assume this was yalls "Many Saints of Newark"
I think everyone collectively decided Many Saints was a massive disappointment when this is more divisive
We're still pretending like this movie disappointed more than Many Saints of Newark or Dune?

Dumb theory, sorry
Ppl don't make movies to bomb on purpose, yall taking the meta s*** wayyyyyy too far with these tinfoil hat takes
By that logic a show with a 8 person orgy and 8 person live birth with real life birth footage was also a sabotage right?
filming 8 locations all over the world? sabotage
using sunlight in this only ?sabotage

Dune was so, so deeply superior to this pile of s***
It really doesn’t event have to be all that. You could do this exact same film scene for scene with just marginally better action sequences and it would be perceived differently.

Agree to disagree @sentient_sherm_bag

Pretty much
Another movie I liked despite its flaws and didn't get why so many HATED it

It's a terrible film with almost no redeeming qualities or enjoyable scenes

the reviews always bland and vague just like that

Dune cut so many scenes

Wasn't there a quote from the director saying a director's cut doesn't exist?

yes but he means he will never release it

Being in the middle loving Dune and Matrix Resurrections
I respect that cause they got two largely different aims
What was the most enjoyable aspect of the movie to you?
Juniors scenes, gandolfinis kid playing Tony perfectly, Joey diaz head bursting completely from a shotgun blast, ect ect
Decent little mobster flick made better by being sopranos connected
Dune cut so many scenes
It also didn’t feel the need to include a cute CGI robot buddy to hang out on Josh Brolin’s shoulder for no conceivable reason
Pretty much

When it comes to many saints i felt the casting and the performances were all really good and it was nice seeing the callbacks to the show. The plot was just really weird. It couldve been fleshed way more as a mini series type thing
Being in the middle loving Dune and Matrix Resurrections
I'm not saying I didn't enjoy Dune either although I did think it was decent at best it's just that the book did not need another film adaptation considering the source material is extremely methodical and descriptive. I never have faith for book to film adaptations.

Nigga I say dune cut so many scenes and all you can focus on is a cute robot. Most of dune to me feels like most scifi even if yes it was the originator in book form it doesnt feel that way in movie form because we have seen it so many times in so many ways. I am glad it had some solid worldbuilding but the protagonist for me has to do more if you loved every second of duen thats great I am happy for you and glad you enjoy it
