I’ve said this possibly a much better movie with Lilly but Lilly never wants to come back and likely hates WB more than Lana . Lilly didn’t get to come out as trans she was outed sometime around cloud atlas launch by paparazzi

I think there is a certain tone/creative spark that would always feel like an imitation.

Yeah, I was wrong. It was one thing to ditch the whole Matrix aesthetic that I was looking forward to, but making a movie that looks and plays out this badly... Editing was weak in the sequels and the story was a bit too ambitious in those 2, but this is just wrong and I genuinely think it was unethical for Lana to make a movie she so clearly didn't want to make.
Aside from editing possibly being "weak" can you imagine the change in aesthetics could be deliberate to drive home a bigger point?

Plus the worldbuilding and thoughtprovoking themes and critiques of society, religion, social constructs would not hit the same or be completely absent

Nah editing was weaker than cloud atlas which was master of transitions . I wish this felt more like cloud atlas than sense 8 by a bit

Cloud Atlas should have fused with matrix to show and tell what happened in a world years without neo then world with neo then ended with him and trinity reuniting . Like this had a chance to be Lana magnum opus
