When Pitchfork turns on you they stop reviewing your music and start reviewing your life and all the decisions you've made publicly in the last 12 months

Yeah they'll probably mention the blm protests and capitol riots somehow and tie that in to how lana is an example of white privilege or something

  • Jan 11, 2021

why are people so angry that the album is 11 tracks 10-14 is the sweet spot

  • I mean she's not trying to send a white supremacist agenda with it's just pandering towards the white moms and tumblr girls who will listen to it

agreed, also thought that it was amazing that she was finally hitting her mark in terms of songwriting. The production definitely does get stale and some songs just have no buildup or interesting progression like Bartender but man her vocals were on point on every track man, for once she didn't drape her vocals in reverb

bartender was really her on her joni s*** just gotta let the song take you away. that song would still be stunning a capella.

yup she strips back more and more every album. chemtrails vocals might be as dry as the cover, vocals recorded on iphone 6 or some s***

the irony of weirdos on the internet screaming that lana is a right wing racist after she publicly shamed kanye wearing a MAGA hat and any of trump's supporters is hilarious, mfers on the internet have the attention of a gold fish

nah nah let's not even give it any attention fam aoty otw

i think she's one to watch. let me ask you what you think about phoebe bridgers tho

Phoebe Bridgers is amazing memorable, songwriting/pen, voice, artistic vision. She's gonna own the 2020s. I need to hear her on more non-folk stuff though.

One example of her vision is a single off Punisher, 'Garden Song'. She is talking about her reoccurring nightmares on tours, and the deep backup voice that sings the chorus with her is Phoebe's tour manager tying in with the song's meaning. She's one of a kind fr.

that was originally my least favorite on that album, but man, it grew to become one of my favorites as well. i know the exact feeling you're talking about i love it!

This is by far, my favorite and a top 5 lana song for me as well.

It almost feels like a last hurrah from the golden era

the cheerleader chants in the chorus gives real born to die vibes

Listen to her cover on ‎Mark Kozelek's You Missed My Heart, she knows how capture the same evocative essence of Sun Kil Moon/Mark's music
